First round pick? Doubt it. They can get more than what you offered for just Drouin.

Cool, can you convince Yzerman of that? That would be great.

It is pretty random -- if someone told me when I woke up this a.m. that I would be slapfighting about Nick Schultz, Nicklas Grossmann and Chris Pronger's payout, I would have laughed and rolled over

- AllInForFlyers

But what if someone simply said you'll be slapfighting on HB again today?

Then I think pretty much everyone would say it's a normal day on HB.

me too. I would trade for Drouin too. could you imagine?

Voracek-Giroux-Konecny
Drouin-Stamkos-Simmonds
Raffl-Couturier-Weal
Bellmare-Laughton-Read

MDZ-Ghost
Provorov-Stralman
Schultz-Gudas

- Brent40

I don't want to give up assets for Drouin if I am making a play for Stamkos. If I have big money in players like Stamkos and Giroux and Voracek then I need some players on ELC and cheaper deals to fill spots.

Get them to include Hedman also. At that point, hey, why not?
- MJL

Only if they'll retain 50% of that bum.

I think Drouin could be like Cory Schnieder. He might get moved for a first rounder at the draft unless someone offers up a big package at the TDL.

Lol

Hmmm...I had been good lately, but I would have to admit that I would not have bet the under on that. Gotta own that

Hope Ghost is just a little banged up, nothing more serious

Thought Mason was excellent, and MDZ was an absolute monster

Liked the lines, for the most part. Think it's only a matter of time before Giroux's line starts tearing people apart

And lastly: Brayden Schenn and Sean Couturier. Sometimes, its not always about the scoresheet. But sometimes, for some players, it matters. And for those two players, at this junction of where the Flyers are and where they are in their careers, points do matter. And it's nice to see that putting them together yields results again, and if Schenn is getting points and looking engaged, which he tends to do with Couturier, then by all means, earn an extension, make me eat my words, and most importantly help the Flyers win

- AllInForFlyers

Gotta include Raffl in the Couts/Schenn conversation. He makes a lot of things happen. Had another good game last night.

If I am the Flyers I would be getting Weal in the lineup soon and see what he can do. Columbus is now down center depth with losing Johansson. If Weal can provide some offense and play both ends, I might be intrigued to shop Laughton for a winger. Laughton for Rychel as an example? Some deal where I get a young winger back. Schenn could even be used as maybe teams see him as a center.

Just curious to see how all this shakes out. It's nice to feel like Hextall has a direction and makes you anxious to see it take shape.

Yeah. Sometimes, you gotta own your poop

I have been a lot better of late, and I feel like I walked away when re-engagement was possible. Baby steps

i have never been a rinne fan. that's just me. not blaming him for his numbers. i haven't watched them play all year.
- hammarby31

I don't get the hype. If Rinne played up to his contact in last year's playoff matchup against Chicago, Nashville would have won that series.

Rinne was average at best in that series and from the 8+ games I have seen this season, he isn't doing anything to win any awards.

Rychel was 19th overall and Laughton was 20th so it would be an increase in value, even though its only a small one

Weal is on the roster, right? And he'd have to clear waivers to get to the Phantoms so he's likely staying up (for now). I sit Umberger and get the kid in there to see what he can do. Nothing to lose.

I think they want him to get in a few practices with the team first, before playing him.

And I figured that.

I think they have about 23 games until the TDL. I would like to see him play a lot of those. I know not a huge sample but I want to see if there is anything there that can project to an NHL role and maybe allow me to make a deal to keep reshaping the roster.
