Jensen has been the ultimate bust. This just seems like a change of scenery for two late 1st round draft picks more than anything. Etem has had success in Junior playing with boy Vey and Shinkaruk so the chemistry is there. He was also coached by Willie. Good pickup by Benning.

Couple questions I thought you smart people might be able to answer, as the Google is letting me down:

1) If a player is with an AHL or ECHL team, does he have to sign an entry-level contract with the parent club or are those teams free to sign players on their own?

2) f a player has signed an entry-level deal and is still playing in the CHL, can the parent club pull that player up at any time or does the CHL team have a right to retain the player? For example, could the Devils yank Mackenzie Blackwood up if they wanted to with no recourse for the Barrie Colts?

Yes but no one in the Rangers community believes they'd offer either. Graves' name has been thrown around a bit. Tampa has plenty of depth at forward. Something that has been outlined a bunch on this thread. They need d-men at this point.

Guys that hype and take older players as high draft picks usually get burned. Yakupov was an average of 6 months older than most of the kids taken in his draft. The Flyers got Couturier after he dropped when people began looking at his birth date.

This is important to this year. Austin Matthews may be the oldest projected 1st overall pick ever taken in the modern draft. But, I believe sanity will prevail and he sinks and the two Finns move ahead of him by draft day.
