Superior is a strong word. There is no evidence that Drouin is anything but an average player who is having trouble sticking at the NHL level. - Dcoms
It's the truth though. Don't forget that Drouin was a bottom 6 player in Tampa on grind lines. His production speaks for itself. Sprong didn't do anything meaningful in his short ice time to warrant extra playing time. |

No one on the Pens makes me more angry than Perron. The guy doesnt do anything.
-Good at stick handling, but the dekes never end up doing anything.
-Plays gritty kind of, but more just runs into guys then falls down and is out of position for the rest of the shift.
-Can shoot at all, if you're going to be in the top six you need to either have a heavy, accurate or quick shot. Perron has a nothing shot.
-Perron. is. sloooooooooow. - stackthepads
Over the years there are a handful of players that I absolutely can't stand to see in a Penguins jersey. Perron has recently made the list following the last pile of sh!t tanner glASS.

JR is the kind of GM that will get jealous of all the trades going down and push for something... - YouMeAndDupuis9
Having Cullen as your top 6 winger is not sustainable. He was signed as 4th line/13th forward duties. It's going to be JRs last year, I'd honestly be surprised if he didn't do something, and a big splash like that could be it. You know JR loves the flashy names. |

Nikita Zaitsev, word is he wants to play with Malkin. He could be the next Sergai Zubov and we could trade Cole if we get him. - Dcoms
My guess is that he wont crack the top 4 in the NHL. And from what I read, all signs point to Toronto signing him. |

Yeah but Drouin is 2 years older than Sprong. You think Sprong won't stick next year? He's likely a top 6 player in the NHL next season. THat one ups Drouin in the grand scheme of things. |

Pens have nothing to trade besides Perron, Kunitz, and Hornqvist. Those 3 aren't getting anything of significance. I still think at the deadline Kunitz can at least get a 2nd round pick. Possibly a late first to a contending team going all in |

All those articles are Maple Leaf propaganda sites. And if he's the top dman for CKSA Moscow why won;t he crack top 4 in the NHL? Thant's a pretty ignorant statement.
The Leafs think EVERYONE wants to play for them and no one really does |

I'm all for signing him. I love college/KHL free agents and waiver wire pickups. But I doubt he becomes anything special. Of course I'm going by highlights only... |

Plot was also supposed to be a lock for top 6.. I still think Drouin will have the better career, and is also ready to help the team now. |

I was going by a Friedman post about him. |

All he has to be is a solid 2nd pairing guy. Letang and mattaa are your top. |

Truth.
Plus Perron coming back is a maybe. Kunitz shouldn't be there to begin with. Plotnikov can't be in the top 6. It's pretty bleak...

I posted earlier Drouin + D'Angelo for Pouliot + Sprong. Pretty even swap. Pouliot for Drouin is also pretty even, or pretty damn close. It would basically be a Johanson/Jones type of deal, only with "prospects" |

Yeah and to add to that, Dumo and Maatta are ahead of Pouliot on the left side. Top 6 LW or bottom pair dman? On our depth chart obviously. |

Paanarin picked the Hawks because he wanted to win. What is the Leafs pitch to Zaitzev? That you are going to lose a lot of games for the next 2 years before we are competitive. I think a free dman from the KHL is worth pursuing and he's a 2 way dman so you can't go by highlights. I think Jhalmarson is a pretty good mark for where Zaitsev could be. For free that's not bad. |

If I was a good GM I would be sending Lovejoy, Plotnikov, and Porter on a one way ticket anywhere but here. You have Clendening, Warsovsky and Pouliot who are a million times better in every aspect than lovejoy, time to cut bait with that bum. |

Plot is a rookie doing fine on the 4th line. Leave him alone!
Send kuni and Perron out for skinner and drouin |
