Yzerman is pretty analytical so I'm guessing he'd want one of Sanheim/Provorov/Ghost involved. Don't think he'd want Morin as a center piece.

Laughton and this season's first round pick. I totally feel like this would be an overpayment.

Drouin has a higher ceiling offensively than anyone the Flyers have and its not even close.
Plus he is a bargain for a couple years. I definitely trade one unproven D prospect plus any roster player they can fit capwise.

I mean O ceiling prospect wise.

I'd hold on to Nuevy unless I'm blown away. I'd be shopping Streit and Luke as my two big chips at the deadline. Like I was saying yesterday, if they move those two for a 1st and 2nd then we will head into this draft with 5 picks in the first two rounds.
- hereticpride

But whats the point of 5 picks.Scott Laughton was a 2012 First Rounder.
4 years on he is still fighting to get TOI above 10 minutes

I kinda agree with you -- the Philly pick is looking Top 10, and Laughton is an NHL player with a future in the Top 9

Some people might not think that's enough, but I agree with you in that it is

This is exactly how I feel. I'm not giving up Ghost, Morin, Sanheim or Provorov for him.

Exactly. If he's having trouble cracking Tampa's line up, that's a problem.

Considering the Flyers could get a top 5 pick this year potentially and get a player as good as Drouin without giving up anything, I'm not eager to part with it unprotected.

That said, Drouin has star potential. Still very young and has a bad relationship with the team. He's basically Johansen with perhaps even a higher ceiling, but younger and less proven. They would demand nothing less than the first and one of our top 3 D or Konecny. Then something else probably. Not eager to make that trade, but it's not because he's not worth it, but because I'd rather just roll with what we have.

Something definitely doesn't smell right down there, but at the same time, Stamkos might not love the coach either

Hard to say. I don't know if I would go nuts on an offer...as you are intimating, could be the player is the problem

I couldn't part with Ghost, Morin, Sanheim or Provorov for Drouin. I wouldn't do it. I'm more likely to offer this season's first round pick and/or a player like Laughton or Hagg but nothing more. I wouldn't offer much.
- SuperSchennBros

Me either - Ghost, Morin, Sanheim, and Provorov are the defensive core we will need down the road. I'd probably offer up B Schenn + a 1st (I'd even pay as much of Schenn's salary this season as the CBA allows since TB is tight at the cap)... Then I'd try and unload any combo of Streit, L Schenn, Medvedev, and/or Read by the TDL for picks. If a 40 y/o coming back after missing a season w/ Blood Clots can got us two 2nds - I think Streit can get us a first. If we don't get Drouin with that then we don't get Drouin and we draft with our 1st. My 2 cents.

St Louis wanted out suddenly after having fantastic years. Stamkos isn't signed and probably not going to. Speaks volumes to me.

I'm not offering Brayden Schenn or Sean Couturier either. Brayden can possibly get you more.

Top 10 with three decent lottery shots at being top 3. I would not trade it for Drouin without protection.

If the Flyers could trade Simmer or Baby Schenn as the centerpiece, Hexy should be all over that like Milbury on a shoe. It's what we've all been clamoring for -- a top 6 LW with elite potential for one of the RW. I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Me either. A 27 y/o that's averaged 28 goals the last 4 seasons locked up at under $4 million AAV.

For Drouin I would. We've all been talking about only trading Simmer in the right deal. For a 20 year old LW with through the roof potential, I would, barring what other pieces went to Tampa.

I'd 100% rather part with Brayden

Tampa 100% wouldn't

If I was willing to include Simmonds, I wouldn't give much more. Maybe a decent prospect, not one of the top prospects, or a draft pick. Not a first round pick.

All of his per 60 stats suggest he's a legit top 6 talent with 1st line upside. That and his junior pedigree.

There's no doubt that he has talent, he was a high draft pick. That's not a guarantee of anything.

Agreed. If it was Simmonds + Hagg + 2nd. Or a variation. I don't want the first given up. No way. Not when it could be so high
