Woodford Reserve ... try it ... its better - Oneonta Penguin
I've seen it around and will have to try it. Hard to believe it can beat the Buffalo Trace but will give it a shot. |

Figured I had to have mixed them up... when they give the PK vs PP numbers at the start of powerplays. I was like "wow, did a few goals really bump us up that high?". - Guile
They moved up to 18.6% off of 2/4, which was good for 17th in the league before today started.
PP % is pretty fluid - small sample sizes mean that big improvements or dropoffs greatly impact the percentage.
For example, if the Penguins go 5/10 next week on the PP (possible, the way they're playing), they'd shoot up to nearly 21%, which would be good for 7th in the league. |

They are the same team, just not getting great goaltending from Lundqvist anymore. I hope he is finally on the decline. That team will go from contender to disaster overnight. Doubt it is happening though. |

Their strongest team lost to the Kings 2 years ago - that was their real chance. Last years team was weaker & again this years is weaker again.
Unless they trade Nash & Yandle, their window is shut. Lundqvist is better off asking for a trade to the Oilers or Buffalo if he wants to win anything more than a presidents trophy. |

Add Lundqvist to the list of people that needs to be traded. They've got the pieces to be a solid team, but traded Duclair and letting Stralman walk were huge mistakes. You don't recover from pissing away a young top 6 winger and a cheapish top 4 defenseman in favor of aging and expensive players like Staal, Yandle, Girardi, Boyle, and St. Louis. They need to deal older assets and build around McD, Kreider, and Stepan. |

I still liked him... no matter what fancy stats or coaches say, he hustled, played hard, and drew penalties. Hell, he drew 1 from Letang his first game against us pretty easily.
Is he the answer to a team's 4th line? Nope... but I'd possibly put him in over Plot or Porter as first man up. |

Agree but their fans are always saying how great their depth is! I think they have Stepan out & Girardi (their best D man ), playing with injury which is insane considering they have Mcilrath that can play! As I said AV won't win them the cup!
Their young guys have just hit the wall from the strong start they had, so time will tell if those guys get it together or are traded away in panic. Hayes was scratched. |

Yes that Yandle trade was evil! They have got weaker by depending on their youth - I think they have a stud D man in the wings & they have Buchenev (or something like that), coming over thinking he's going to be the edge they need to win! Time will tell if their young guns can fire at the elite level for a season, but I much prefer our position & struggles than theirs!! We are closer to a cup than them & we aren't anywhere near it at the moment.
Lundqvist would get them very close to contending if he was traded in my opinion. If it were the Oil they could get Talbot back, Draisaitl (oilers would be crazy trading him), & possibly Eberle + a first/2nd. Lundqvist on the Oil would be a contender straight away - or call me crazy! |

Their defense is still stupid. - Victoro311
It's no 'Oil painting' but much rather a work in progress & they're still getting wins or losing 1 goal games. Lundqvist would fix a lot those 1 game goals up straight away. |

Girardi and Staal are going down Scuderi road quickly. Lovely BIG, long term contracts with NTC's. |

They are royally screwed with those contracts in the long term. Pens have zero bad contracts on the books anymore with Scuderi gone. Nothing kills a team in the long run like bad contracts. |

Staal, Girardi and Lundqvist all have full NMC's. Yikes. They're going to need another labor dispute and amnesty buyouts to dump a couple of those guys. |

I lived in Lexington for four years. Buffalo Trace is fine; but doesn't compare to Woodford. Although its a bit more pricey.

He played at Brown with Garlbut and Henry Zolnierczyk and they finished DFL in ECAC Hockey two years in a row. Has that ever happened ... a teal with three guys that have played games in the NHL at the same time?

Woodford can be a lot more than BT, but it's worth it. I've found Bulliet is a good middle of the two bourbon - really tasty. |
