Do the Penguins play tonight? Thought so.

Big time pass on Drouin. Small, weak, and apparently a malcontent.

Ya know... 32 points in 70 games in his rookie season, I think hes earned the right to say "hey, I (frank)ing belong with the NHL club".

and 8 points in 19 games this year... also pretty fair amount to put up.

Let's go Pens! Let's do this.

Going to dinner with friends but will record the game to watch later. I am a DP fan but who the f*ck knows what's up with him not playing with the big guys.

He definitely belongs in the NHL and definitely will require a lot to acquire. I don't like the idea for us now knowing that DP would need to go....unless we could turn a Kunitz into a solid d-man.

If you mean better as in points, I agree. State of the two franchises.......that's what I'm referring to
- MountAlbert

Toronto would be fine if they kept being a bottom team for 10 more years only because of the place they are in. Pittsburgh doesn't have the luxury of being in the biggest city of the country crazy for hockey. Its a lot easier to sell out games and make money when you're team is bad in a city with 2.6 million people vs a team in a city of 300,000. Kinda common sense if you think about it.

DP for Drouin as an even swap (minor pick for a kicker i'd not care about) seems fine to me. We're weak on LW, and Dumoulin's great surge this year can make DP a bit expendable for this type of trade. Its not ideal by any means, but the only way I am trading DP is for another young high end prospect.

Seems like a perfect fit for GMJR "vision".

I'm so scared oldman Ruth is going to deal Murray for a rental. I know Murray still isn't a sure thing and has a bit to go before being an NHL #1, but it would be nice to keep a legit blue chipper in the organization. That being said, Murray + to Calgary for Dennis Wideman will be announced tomorrow. Lol

Rutherford legitimately sounded happy when he got Daley and said he didn't plan on making any more trades anytime soon and at this point we all know the Old Man can pretty much be taken at face value. Under Sullivan our defense has done what it has to. It hasn't been great but it's been serviceable. If Ruth goes out and gets a rental it will probably be, and should be, a LW.

Only 10% of the time. He was with Stamkos almost 30% of the time, Flip and Killorn a little less.

And 32 assists... but you're right, his very low goal totals is damn odd, especially for a young player. Don't see many assist happy young guns.

Drouin's probably a little bit better than Bennett... And up until this season he hasn't had the constant injury bug. He's just been mismanaged. This is a bum comparison.

Bennett for free (aside from his menial salary) or Drouin for a cache of assets? Bennett.

Kessel! Nice start.
