Which line is he on?
- Retinalz

He will be paired with Point when he returns but I believe he is with Perlini and Barzal. 1st unit PP with Strome and Marner.

Virtanen looks good. He's not a flashy player offensively but he's got a nose for the net, plus his physicality, I really like that pick!

He was told to go to the tournament and work on his puck possession/protection and board work. To me he looks like he's in that area between junior and the NHL, I wish he could go play in the American League.

2nd goal was a bit of a gift from Marner but he looks solid so far.

Not a Botchford fan. But a good read in my opinion.

He doesn't score it if he's not in position to accept a pass or lose puck, but yes, cudo's to Marner for his creativity and getting that puck to him.

Jeez that Marners a tiny little guy

JV probably see's this as make or break. A solid WJC means he may get a few games in NHL to prove he deserves to stay. A sloppy one probably means juniors right away.

I don't think so. Different rink size, different skill, different age group. This is nothing but a confidence booster to a player who see's limited minutes in the show and is in and out of the line up. I very much doubt he goes back to junior, regardless of his stats in this tournament.

He needed a confidence booster. He's making the most of this opportunity thus far.

yes it seems that way. This is a rumor site after all.

Geez I was just wondering if it meant he wasnt liked by his team mates since he wasnt stuck up for against getzlaf then sent down, then loaned out and valk is saying hes told he'll be back in junior immediately after.

It got out of hand and got blown up into more than I ever even said. How does the word conspiracy even get used about any of that? But anyways its his own issues

- SMBDragon

Yup put it to bed. We always love a little off the wall conspiracy, it gives us 20 pages of posting

I'm amused to see that Team Canada took 10 penalties today against Sweden, just as the Canucks did last night.
