I'm a fan of RJ but you have to wonder of the risks involved. Could be a very risky deal depending on the assets being moved. We can't move Bo McCann Hutton Virtanen Shink but we can move Hamhuis Tanev Burrows Higgins Weber and even Hansen if need be. No chance of Vrbata going to CBJ he will go to a contender at TDL..or he should. CBJ won't take our scraps so dangling rookies/prospects/picks this team can't really afford. If Johansen's health issues turn out to be a larger picture...

The Canucks are going to break Miller by New Years.

On an exciting note, just bought my ticket to go see The Force Awakens tomorrow afternoon. Gonna get stoned as (frank) and check it out in 3D IMAX

Matthias had a good year here but was utilized very well by coaching. MNGT saw that it wasn't going to be a repeat as he would not play tough and use his body.

Weise was brought in for some toughness and some 4th line punch but was basically useless here in the west vs the big heavy teams out here. When Weise played vs STL ANA SJ LA CHI and a few others teams out here it may as well have been 5 on 4 for the whole shift. sure the guy could skate and throw the odd check on the forecheck but for the most part he was completely invisible out here. But it is good to see hime have a bit of success in MTL...but it won't last it's just another one-off.

Very possible and that certainly won't hurt us. Trade Miller to SJ and get what you can to get that remaining contract off the books...move forward. Markstrom will be decent until Demko is developed.
