I would but Tim's coffee has taken a nose dive here...it's god awful.

Second Cup has been a decent alternative but still pricey.

No Starbucks near where I work so have to stick to McDiks coffee which is pretty good.

Well I'm Jewish so I don't celebrate Christmas and I'm to cheap to go to Starbucks.

To prove I'm not a cold hearted bastard I'm off to go make walnut fudge for my nieces.

Great blog Carol.

Burrows is only apologetic because its out in the open. I very much doubt he will ever change, regardless of his guaranteed spot on the team or his break through on the 4th line however many years ago.

McCan not going to the WJC is a disappointment. I understand the number of players who aren injured but I think his development playing at the WJC would be more beneficial than 10-12 minutes per night on a currently dysfunctional team.

- Codes1087

Agreed.

Some say he learned from his past wrong doings. Personally I have lost a large amount of respect for him.

Child abuse isnt something you use to gain a competetive advantage.

Its pathetic.

The problem isn't that the words are hurting people, it's that people are starting to take things out of context and are looking to be offended. Someone is always going to find something someone said offensive, even if it wasn't intended that way and nobody else is offended by that. There is a happy medium that can be found, some people like to live in the extremes.

No doubt.

The one thing i find odd is that all the onus of responsibility is being put on other people for the sensitives and insecurities of a few. Is it so outrageous to think that perhaps some individuals could/should have the ability to take control of their own emotions and in turn not allow themselves to be hurt by the stupidity of others?

I mean (frank), those who allow themselves to be outraged by the words of an idiot are themselves an idiot, and in doing so only propagate the prejudice they themselves have experienced.

What ever happened to sticks and stones.

Not celebrating Christmas this year

Atleast it will be easier on the wallet.

But I share the sentiment. To my HB family enjoy you and yours this holiday season.

So we're getting rid of Higgens, Burrows, Vrbata, Hamhuis and hopefully Weber, Sbisa, Baerstchi, Prust and Bartkowski…….

So we'll dump/trade for 5 first round picks next year?????

I have to say, I enjoy this community, reading a post, agreeing with the first point, disagreeing with the next. The different perspectives.

You can celebrate Christmas and still have it easy on the wallet. Christmas may be about giving, but sometimes a person's time, spending time with friends and family can be priceless.

And if it is Happy Holidays for someone else, I hope it involves friends and family.

and if you are not into any of that, may you have good health in the new year.

and if you don't have a calendar or observe time, how the feck do you get internet in that cave?

Tony Gallagher said it best this morning, the NHL accepts head shots and fighting and will hand out a 1 game suspension for a conclusion , but heaven forbid Alex Burrows hurt someone's feelings 10 years ago.

I know when Burrows scored that goal against Chicago I came on here and seen at least a dozen posts that said BURR.

Today he is the devil. A lot of worst things were said on the ice 10 years ago.

- VANTEL

I don't understand the outrage over this. It was said on the ice. It isn't like he called him one night at 3 AM, and told him he was going to do the things his dad did to him.

I get it as I am a proponent of what is said on the ice stays on the ice...the problem is that this crap is following Burrows around everywhere and we need to shed that image...badly.
