I would rather give up this year's pick. I know most will think I am crazy but if you don't win the Mathews sweep then it gets very thin very fast
- VANTEL

I would be OK with that if Benning could get back a very good player in his early 20's.

Excellent . Couldn't happen to two nicer guys .

I know it won't happen but I hope everyday everyone comes to their senses and they want to play for a cup contender and we get a boatload

I would rather give up Bo

Given how long it takes to develop defensemen, I would agree. Getting Jo while giving up Tanev and then waiting 4 years to develop decent defensemen to replace him would not be worth going for

For me I'm torn, I'd love to see them be the first guys in franchise history to put up 1000 points. But if I think with my head, for the long-term success of the team, I'd hope they waive and get a chance to play of a Stanley Cup.

Hopefully Vancouver trades burrows for a bag of pucks sooner rather than later.

Exactly. But are we also trading Bo and Tanev in the deal as well? Because then it gets dicey.

I would do Bo and 1st as long as that 1st is not Matthews

Wait until TDL of final year to trade them. Only way they go together and will still be high producing and get top dollar still.

I went out yesterday and bought my first Nuck jersey ever for the wife. I know most of you here won't believe it but yes it was a Daniel Sedin jersey

I love the idea if RJ. Though my coworker went to school with him and only had bad things to say about him as a person. Could be another Kesler.

If they traded this year say to a team like Nashville. I could see some return of 2x firsts one of their very good Dmen like Jones and 2 prospects like Fiala and someone else maybe a max Reinhart

Not only that but frees up 14 mil to chase a centre like Stamkos or Staal

If you can get that, sure but I think they would fetch less unfortunately.

I wonder how many teams dont even think of trading for the Sedin's because of the work involved in actually making the deal. Assessing two top caliber players who individually would cost a lot, but then taking into account the assets needed to make the deal, Vancouver likely has to add contracts/value the other way to keep below the limit (not to mention the Cap hits). You gotta think its like trying to hit a target thats constantly moving

I would be OK with trading the twins. I feel bad for them right now. They seem to be the only 2 guys on the roster that are able to anything. I would be surprised if they waived their NMC's though.

I just hope Benning realizes that this hybrid rebuild or what ever the hell it is, is not working and he switches his focus on a proper rebuild.

Burrows is a POS , he is one of the best agitators. I like guys like Marchand , burrows when he was that guy , Clutterbuchk , LUcic. I think teams need agitators.

Did Burrows go to far? That's not for me to decide. I think Sullivan should have kicked the living crap out of Burrows and it would probably be over.

I think once a player opens up his personal life while still active is open to ridicule, hate , and a whole lot more.

If a player admits he is gay , he is going to be called fag. I don't get the difference between , your sister gives good head and Burrows comments. IMO Sullivan should have skated over and kick the crap out of him.

Like I said , Burrows is a piece of crap but I can't cheer for him scoring the OT goal against Chicago and then say I want you off my team because you verbally abused a player. I want burrows gone now because he is old and slow , not because he said something over the line of good sportsmanship.

O’Sullivan didn’t open up about anything when he was playing. It came out after his dad beat the poop out of him in front of his mother and grand parents after he called 911. He tried to keep it quiet but something like that months before your first year of NHL draft eligibility gets out. Especially being as he was rated inside the top 15 in the world at the time. Pretty good read.

It would be a lot easier to make the deal at the TDL in the last year of the contract. It would be tough for any team to add 14 mil to their payroll with years remaining.

With all the talk of RJ I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about clearing a bunch of cap space for Stamkos.

Too late . Let them retire Canucks then.

If you are doing it strike while their value is at the highest.

We have won 11 games this year. Does it matter if we are losing 6-2 or 6-0?

But their value is high now, who knows what it's gonna be in two years…strike while the irons hot!!!

An Eastern team and their lack of travel could bode well for them in coming years.

Nashville have 10 mil in cap space . They need scoring. Two top 15 guys in the Twins. They become cup contenders immediately
