Since it already happened on another forum. I think it should be a said that if anyone tries to ruin Star Wars on this forum they need an IP ban for a few weeks. |

No team is mathematically eliminated yet. Esp not in our conference. We will likely be in a PO spot until the last game. finish last and still have a chance at playoffs - Retinalz

Not that we deserve it. I'm just saying how bad out division is. We are 26th in the league and only 2 pts out. CGY is now in a playoff spot btw. - Retinalz
I predicted that this road trip would put an end to any further playoff hopes. We'll see. |

I hope so as well. But as long as our division keeps losing as well as us, playoff hopes will remain. If we stay 2-5pts outside of it in our division, Henrik, sutter, hammer, sbisa coming back could make Benning think we have enough of a chance to go for it.
EDIT: Start cheering on our enemies! |

I actually disagree, I think this is the ideal situation for McCann. If he is an NHL team's #1 offensive Centre, what better chance for development? Look at how Horvat was struggling with an increased role after thriving as a bottom 6 C, this is a good opportunity for him to see where he needs to get to and possibly a chance to play with a Sedin and roll with the top PP unit - WhiteLie
I hear ya, but I'd still send him back. He is going to get thrown into the deep end and it won't be enjoyable.
The kid is having problems sleeping now, feeling the pressure, just feel for the kid. |

It's not uncommon for young players like him to go through slumps during the season, they all go through it, it's not unique to him.
I like him where he's at. |

I agree on the psychological risks involved. It could be pretty deflating, but from what I remember the word on this kid during the draft was he is almost cocky, has a chip on his shoulder and overall has some swagger to him. To me that sounds like a player that would take a beating and use it as motivation in the offseason. Its a big gamble, but we have seen it happen over the years with Monahan, RNH, etc. and it paid off
EDIT: Yes JM doesnt have the draft pedigree as the others, but both were considered questionable with size and strength in the NHL during their rookie seasons if I remember correctly |

No matter what happens, just hope the best for the kids.
regarding the draft pedigree, a lot of that talk is a joke. JM wa projected to be a higher pick and fell a bit for whatever reason, maybe not his own fault, others that may have been drafted higher weren't always projected to be drafted there.
Sometimes guys fall out of the first round through no fault of their own, so if they were drafted in the second round, they still have somewhat of a good pedigree. To me is is all about twisting stats and information around.

Were 3 points out of last place in the league with our number center for a couple games. Plus sutter and hamhuis out for months. Send J and J to worlds and then to the CHL is the right call. The others in Utica can fill in. The idea was to keep these kids in a winning environment, well I tell ya what that is not going to happen this year. Reward the Utica guys who have played well plus it give you a chance to see what you have in Friesen, Vey and Gaunce at center and Shink, Jensen and Grenier on the wings.
You are also wasting a year of J and J's free agency status on a loosing season which fully pointless and it could cost you down the road similar to what happened to Frank Corrado. |

unless it is for RJ, I hope not. Don't want to see any over priced band aid solutions. |

Man I hope Benning doesn't pull a Gillis and send out picks for short term fixes...

Short term would be for older players, if you're referring to Johansen, he's 23 years old. |

I think he is thinking more along the lines of a Sami Pahlson... |

I would be ok with RJ as he is more of a long term solution here than a short term fix. Just make sure CBJ takes Higging Burrows Weber for him. |
