It was a bad trade IMO, the point of the initial comment; Vaive went onto a good career with 400 plus goals, much like Neely, I'd rather build around a good 5th overall offensive player than have Tiger Williams on my team. Although I did enjoy Tiger lol.

As long as it isn't a top 3 draft pick, I don't mind. Schenn at least has quite a bit of NHL experience and at a young age. Not a great skater though.

He gets scratched a lot . He can play tough and he can get points . He is a risk for sure. The good thing if you get him now you have the rest of the year to evaluate his play

My daughter and family just moved back there, she wants me to move there when I'm ready to say goodbye to my job, I was in Calgary for 5 years and Edmonton for 12 years so I know what you mean, really enjoyed both cities.

I don't if you're 12 or 80, That is a piz poor argument. While I don't think we should ever rely totally on stats, Toews, Kopitar and Bergeron being the best corsi guys suggests they are very relevant. Saying that you watched hockey for a long time doesn't mean you know anything about it. You could watch every episode of MASH and never have anymore military knowledge. It also doesn't put you in a position to say "x stat is a buzzword" when literally every franchise is paying attention to FENWICK, CORSI, shot differential metrics when evaluating players in addition to scouting them first hand. getting old doesn't have to be about resisting change and denying that things are getting better. Hockey is the best it has ever been right now, why? they study it more closely, watch tape, collect stats. Rant over.
