We won't be able to trade scuds, not even for a 7th. Better we just demote him and bring up DP. Then we have wars and cleds and even lovejoy rotating every couple of games... I really don't think we need another top 4 puck moving d.
I do think by deadline either kuni or perron gets traded both are ufas I think, or does kuni have another year. Anyways I think moving horn is not the smartest move |

Kuni has another year. Moving Perron would bring very little to nothing in so I doubt they move him. |

Kunitz might have more value than Perron in a deadline deal... if a team just wants a winger who isn't there for a few months. Hard to gauge vs a pure rental who isn't doing that much better. |

Before they go off trading everybody for who knows what and call guys up to do who knows what. Let Sully see what he has in his squad with his own approach first. It may turn being a much more sound and consistent team then what's been iced so far this season. This move was made sooner than most thought best make the most of it. |

I was thinking during last nights game that there was a time when the LA Kings would have traded Kopitar,Doughty, and extras for Malkin in a heartbeat
Imagine if the Penguins had the stones to make that trade back then? |

I like Perron and it seems he is good chums with letang now so maybe he could be resigned for the same price or just slightly higher. The team needs LWs and he's been fine with kessel and malkin |

You want to give Perron MORE money?
Honestly, Perron is a candidate for not getting any deal with term at all and going to a team on a "1 year prove it" deal
assuming that doesn't work out next stop beyond that would be on the PTO train
I'd offer him 3 year 9/10 million and dare him not to take it.... |

Perron is decent but he's entering into Dan Cleary, Teddy Purcell, Michael Renberg territory.....you're supposed to be a scorer, but you don't really score, and you don't really do much else so.... |

I like Perron but we gave up way too much for him. It should have been eberle in that deal. Now he isn't scoring but is helping create plays for geno and kessel. Something I think plot can do just fine.
I would resign perron for another 2 yrs at same price. Unless we trade him for Jagr |

So, how much would you pay for him... on a 1-2 year prove it contract, should he decide he wants to stick around in Pittsburgh?
2.5 a year... 3 mil? |

You weren't getting Eberle for a 1st and Klinkhammer .dont blame the GM, that trade wasn't happening. |

A 1st and a d prospect could have gotten him.. I don't think Perron was worth a 1st and if they do try to trade him. I hope they get something 1st rd ish back |

He is who he is...but the Oilers weren't giving him up for a 1st and a prospect, unless the prospect was special. |

Gotcha, was wondering how high an anti Perron would go to retain... as much as he seems heading for a poop 1 year deal, I think he will get about 3 mil because hes gotten A LOT more on this current deal. |

I guess that "grin" he gave you the other night had something to do with knowing what was about to happen. No doubt MJ was out whether they won last night or not. |

I like how Perron wasn't worth A 1st but hopes to get a 1st in return? Has his value increased THAT much since being a Pen? |

2 years, 6 mil. He's playing with Malkin and Kessel in a contract year and he's not exactly lighting it up. I like parts of his game, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to sign him unless it's a team friendly deal.
