Since another coach is canned, should it be considered to start thinking about trading some high salaried guys off and recoup whatever can be obtained?? Seems the team will be very stagnant bc of cap issues.... - Ur Not Me
We have almost 5 mill in cap space now. It's not an issue at all.
I feel like I haven't seen you around these parts. Must be enjoying the view of all the bickering amongst Pens fans, no need to jump in on that eh? Hahaha

Believe it or not, I don't like kicking people when they're already down. Unless I really don't like that person.
Doesn't help that the Rangers have been playing like dogpoop too.

Good thing he went all in on Kessel and moved pretty much everything we had left to deal.

That doesn't make any sense to me... Scuderi was regularly in the lineup over Clendening.. who can move the puck. Scuderi absolutely should not be in this lineup, ever.
Step one in my personal plan complete, although I would have rather Tocchet be fired than Agnew. Tocchet is worthless.
Well, bed's made. Time to sleep in it. If Sullivan sucks, I fully and willingly accept the poop that will be thrown my way. - Victoro311
Let's be real here, I started the #BetterCallSull movement weeks ago...
I read something about Agnew having authority to decide which defenseman dress for the games, that seemed to be a big issue with GMJR, so not shocked he was canned.

Makes no sense to me that MJ who has the most responsibility would let Agnew have the authority to constantly derail the team. But I have seen stranger things.
Fact check, Rev? Is that how the Baby Pens have been playing? - Victoro311
Not necessarily. But I'm not saying he's wrong. Do they shot block, yes. Chip and chase, when needed. It's not a fixture. Grinding, to a point but it's not a staple this season, however under Hynes it was much more prevalent due to lack of skill.
WBS moves the puck well thanks to guys like Pouliot. Chipping is used when the PMDs are suppressed which opens up the ice for guys like Uher and Kostouplous to grind in the dirty areas. When the PMDs are fluid, skill takes precedent with our skill players in Sheary, Simon, and a feisty Wilson. Their game plan evolves throughout the game as needed.
The caveat however is that Sullivan was forced to coach as Johnston would, so is this Sullivan's style? Who knows perhaps. He does command respect, he is a fighter, and he plays those who are deserving and have earned their spot. Case in point, when Rust was returned he stunk it up his first game, second game he was a healthy scratch, third game he skated and got as assist. He also points out mistakes when they happen to the player but he gets them back out to redeem themselves unlike what happened with Sprong last night. I think him being away from Torts has also made him more level headed. I've been waiting for an explosion, and Wed. Night would've been perfect as an almost all out team brawl broke out in the Pens bench with Syracuse players entering the WBS door, and guys like Kuhnackel punching opposing players from the bench. Sully grabbed his guys and maintained control, Torts would've Jimmy Superfly Snukad them.
Lets just hope the Penguins don't grab a coach from another team BEFORE the year ends... no need to pay that compensation pick when the rule is getting remove once the new year starts.

Shots fired, I'm sure that'll be a huge confidence boost to the Penguins dmen
