He's looking for more secondary scoring and more of a pack mentality from the group as a whole, not fighting but stick up for each other.
Called up Kenins to add some physicality and he played well with Bo last year so maybe he can get him going?
Looked around the league for trades but they don't' have the depth in the organization to pull off a major trade.
Wants to see more offensive zone time to take pressure off our dmen.
No decision on Virtanen or McCann to the WJC as they need Jared and Jake is week to week with the hip pointer.
Hates Willie's coaching choices and wants him fired by the New Year……ok I lied on that one - LeftCoaster

Pretty much is an understatement I guess. - pker2theend
They were also questioning him about sending JV to wjc, and I think BPrice was suggesting if JV went to wjc, the Canucks would have the opportunity to bring up players from Utica to have a look at them, and where they are at in their development, until JV gets back...
JB didn't bite on this suggestion as a good strategy, didn't really sound like he thought it was a path they wanted to take. I got the impression, he'd rather not send anyone to wjc.
I can understand the need for McCann in the lineup, but JV? I don't think JV has played noticeably better than any of the call ups. I'd send him to wjc if he was healthy. |

I think I'm gonna cancel my cable until we have an NHL coach and management team in place |

JB has looked into possible trades, not much out there. Not much out there in terms of defensemen.
I don't think he wants to send JV to the wjc, will wait until the last possible moment to make any wjc decisions.
he was questioned about defensemen, depth and struggles, attributed some of the struggles to poor puck possession with the forwards...
Hoping Kenins gives a lift in the energy and physicality, gets Bo going a bit.
Team mindset should be sticking up for each other, Team sticking together, not just 2 guys with Prust and Dorsett.

was hoping for Markstrom too, they said Miller had a good game against the Stars when we faced them last.. I say, give him another rest and let him face the Bruins on Saturday. |

Willie Desjardins is going to live and die with his vets, I suspect he'll die before he lives…if you catch my drift. |

HOw is that possible when WD gives them 3 mins of ice time then sends them back to Utica - he must've studied coaching at the University of Torts?

Cheers for that.
Interesting that he is even looking to add at this point (contrary to many pundits on here who suggest we pack in the season and look forward to next year) |

If you don't understand what your talking about and just regurgitate Sun media maybe you shouldn't post your political rhetoric.

Lols...
fed action in the states plays a huge part in how the C$ trades against the US$ and yes, deficits/ debt matter.
i didn't start the conversation, so don't just selectively jump in with your attack. if you've got a problem with talking economics or the politics that influence the economy then you should shut the conversation down with the first post on the topic and not the response or X number of comments in just cuz you don't like the message.

I'm with you on JV.
If we could place him on WJ team, that would be a great experience and allow the team to get a better look at other players of his ilk (Grenier, Gaunce, Jensen) |

I don't think JV has been playing with a lot of confidence. WJC can't hurt his development, might actually be beneficial. Could end up playing more minutes per game and see different situations, play more late in a game.
As suggested in the blog, maybe McCann will see more ice later in the game if he is with Prust and Dorsett. It just seems strange when McCann and Vrbata looked like they have been playing well together, getting more chances, more shots, more chemistry happening in their game. |

I wonder if WD puts his lines together with a dartboard. |

The reasoning might have more to do with getting Bo going, than McCann. As mentioned yesterday, he has not looked great thus far.
The sophomore jinx is real. Seems to happen to everyone. |
