Currently we are paying 20.6 mil for
Edler Tanev
Hamhuis Weber
Bart Sbisa
Hutton
For 19.1 mil it could be
Hutton 800 K Byfuglien 6.75
Tryamkin 1.5 Hamonic 3.8
Benn 1.75 Sbisa 3.6
Subban 1 mil
Trade Edler for Hamonic
Trade and sign Byf for Tanev
BTW it is Tuesday so this post is perfectly acceptable - VANTEL

its a better line up than what we have now if you ask me. remember tryamkin is playing KHL last few years and is easily thier best D in the league. So he isnt exactly a rookie then.
Hutton has poise of a more seasoned guy too. we shall see what pedan brings but I think we'll like it. - SMBDragon
I don't know where you guys get your information but tryamkin isn't even the best D on his team let alone the league. He is a long shot at ever coming to NA let alone playing in the NHL.

That's more the feeling I got when I looked him up too, but hey he is a plus player and 21, 6'6, 240 lbs... some optimism |

Anyone hear Prust's response when asked if the veterans need to protect the rookies?
He more or less said "yes, but they are grown men and need to protect themselves."
You could argue that that's true, but if it is true, then why is Prust here? For his sweet playmaking? |

19 year old kids are not grown men. That is why so few 19'year olds make the NHL |

I didn't see this interview, but what a dipshoot. A week ago he was standing up for JV in social media, on the ice nada. Maybe still injured? |

It was a little surprising to hear that from a guy that was brought in specifically for that reason. |

Exactly, the whole point of bringing Dorsett and Prust in according to management was to stand up for these kids. |

yes...and I dont know why they play on same line. I'd spread it out so there's a tough guy on 2 lines protecting the kids then a goon line that is unlikely to score or playmake |

I agree with prust, I can't believe so many are crying about no one sticking up for the kids, props to McCann for taking care of himself and Getzlaf for not dropping the gloves.
The Virtanen injury was unfortunate but pretty standard play in hockey and not a cheap shot. He stood up for himself as well against Farnham, Horvat doesn't back down and neither does Hutton. The kids are fine and will be long term figuring it out for themselves.
Prust is here because Dorsett whined about having to fight too much last season and because mtl needed to clear some salary.
