As I said...always pair experience with anyone new, this does that.

Schenn is still up there (he is a 6/7 Dman imo)

Pedan can't crack the lineup now and cannot be expected to jump into a top 4 role next season.

Hutton is too green himself to be chaperoning a rookie (who has never played in NA nonetheless).

Overall, that's too many inexperienced players on the backend at one time (i include Hutton, tryamkin and pedan as inexperienced).

Hutton is the guy we bring up this year, and that's been a pleasant surprise.

Next year we can hope for Tryamkin, but maybe Pedan/Subban is more likely.
Can't have all being brought up imo.

its a better line up than what we have now if you ask me. remember tryamkin is playing KHL last few years and is easily thier best D in the league. So he isnt exactly a rookie then.
Hutton has poise of a more seasoned guy too. we shall see what pedan brings but I think we'll like it.

This is a solid and IMO accurate assessment. This offseason the goal has got to be defense, defense and more defense. I'm not into losing Tanev/Edler, I'm even into hanging onto Bart as a 5-6 guy. But we are 2 guys short of a top-4 defence IMO. Draft em, sign em, trade for em. Linden, come on el capitan!

I agree, still got to play his way onto the team though and some KHL transfers don't work out so it is a bit of a stretch to bank on him in the lineup. Even if he does 5-6 I think until he gets NHL/AHL exp.

That's too bad cause he sounds like Marek Malik to me a bit. Big boy, but kinda soft and doesn't throw his weight around. Also I had a look at his numbers and
11 pts and +2 through 37 games doesn't make it sound too good. Honestly, I've never seen the kid play, so I am super curious and just been looking at bio's and stats.
