Adding 2nd/3rd round picks for a team that has had more than their fair share of picks is not what they're looking for.

I agree they need defensive help, but the Canucks don't have the type of players that Edmonton needs.

Also don't think Edler waives for Edmonton.
Hamhuis might if he new he could get a sweetheart retirement contract (but Edm got burnt with that kinda thinking with their current captain).

I'd trade Brock Boeser for RNH right now. Throw in something a lil extra to sweeten the pot. I agree with Vantel's assessment of his entire contract situation. There is risk there that can be avoided if we trade him right now.

I think the Oil would want Brock and established player, or another high end prospect... Don't think BB and a little extra is enough for RNH, wasn't he a first overall? I know this is Tuesday, but isn't RNH still considered a high end talent or has his value dropped that far?

That is why I said before tell Edler provide a list of 7 to 10 teams , you are no longer part of the plan. If he refuses tell him you are not asking.

especially since JB wants size and I agree with that.

Which is why I keep saying with subban either make him a winger (which in my opinion he is anyway) where its ok to be smaller or trade him to montreal (to be with his brother, a franchise player) where habs will overpay for him for a decent D man.

perhaps edlers game would blossom if he were paired with a tougher guy who can take care of that allowing him to do his thing
