I want to see them win some games and be in the playoff hunt, but if there is a chance to shed some pending ufa's and non essentials, lemons out of lemonade, sounds good to me. - hillbillydeluxe
I'd like to see that too but I think we're seeing now that playoffs most likely won't be in the mix for this team unless Benning is able to shore up the D...doesn't appear he's going to give up assets to make it happen and I don't blame him. We have much salary to shed at TDL which will only help this club and change it's thinking process. We need to start building for 4-5 years down the road not first round exits for the next two years so the Aqualeemies can pocket a few extra mil. |

Canucks really need a coach who will actually implement an actual system. AV still has his fingerprints on the current play, time for this to change. Those things need to be corrected and taken out of the canucks blueprints.
I had hoped JT would do that till we found out he was a lazy a-hole. No system just telling guys to block more shots.
We need a guy who likes to work and can correctly re-teach the game to our players. - SMBDragon

That is one way to approach it. but even if we are out of the hunt, I don't think JB will, or will be able to, move all the players we want to see go.
If we are out of the hunt this season, they won't want the club to be out of the hunt before the season even starts next year. Have to be able to sell season tickets. They can stumble a bit, but I don't think they want to miss in consecutive years. |

I like Mojs rant an hour ago. I'm sorry if Edler doesn't want to defend his teammates then get rid of him. He basically called out all those chicken sh1ts last night that stood around and watched our two 19 year olds get abused and when Perry jumped on Millers arm.
I can't wait for the day these losers go.

I didn't get a chance to hear his rant or watch the game last night, but I did see them taking a beating in the provies. What shocked me even more was how willing weber was to help out that Anaheim player, while everyone stood around watching McCann being manhandled by Getzlaf.
My beer league team would've had more fight than them. |

This team is gutless. Tanev and Edler are chicken. Weber is smaller but no excuse. higgin and the Sedins stood around and watched players being taken advantage of. Not one response last night. We have seen it over and over for years. |

The way some of the guys played, I was guessing there were a lot of injured players in the game. The other explanation was they were tired from the road trip and the b2b at home may as well have been on the road.
For the most part, I am always a little surprised by Cracknell, works very hard. Prust and Dorsett I was guessing weren't 100%, otherwise JB must be cursing their play. |

They don't want to expend energy getting involved if they are going to be out on the pp for 90 secs. |

yeah. I heard a bit of Valk on 1040, he said he would be calling up whoever he could from Utica. roster spots should be on the line after an effort like that- and facing heavier teams, see who steps up. Why WD has any loyalty to the vets after this is nuts.
(I was only half listening, not sure if I am saying what I heard or what I think ) |

So these guys have a big dinner and drinks on the rookies tab and then the 1st game after they leave the rookies to fend for themselves, nice (frank)ing teammates. |

Got that right. I knew before most of them were chicken but after last night seeing them let 2 rookies and their goalie have defend themselves was the breaking point for me.
If I was JB I would have went up to Edler , give me a list of 10 teams or pack for Utica |

It makes you wonder if Kesler/Luongo really were the problem in the locker room... Burrows/Higgins/Hansen/Hamhuis/Edler are still there from the Meltdown Core. |

I wonder how much Miller is liked in the room. On the plane charter, he was sitting up with the rookies in front... and when Miller was in Buffalo, I don't remember too many players rushing to his defense when guys crashed the net. |

What I do know about Kesler is he plays bigger and meaner now. It helps when you don't play for a team of pansies
I bet both Kesler and Bieksa would both say it is nice to play for a team that defends each other |

When he was here, he was one of the few guys that had a little grit in their game, he goes to the Ducks and it is additional grit to complement what they already have throughout their lineup.
will Prust and Dorsett play like they have something to prove tonight?
on the bright side, even though this is the 2nd game in a b2b, they should have lots of energy after expending very little against the Ducks. |
