From what I've heard, if the contact practices go well this week. he might see a game on the WC trip. - chimpira
I swear I heard them say last night if things keep going well, he might even come back on Saturday. |

That's what I figured, wasn't sure if they would just keep him out until we're back at home. |

wow you are all old men. I stayed awake for the whole game AND I am sick
Anyway oppinions about warsofsky?
sprong - sid - horny need to happen (mostly because I don't wanna seperate the malkin line). horny is not playing that good but sid being mad at him is just ridiculus. IF that is the case then sid needs to check himself in the mirror cuz you are playing like poop bud and pulling every teammate you are playing with down that black hole with you. |

That's what the site Pensburgh speculated. |

Correct. I was thinking last night.... The two guys they absolutely need to get going are paired with 3 of our worst, oldest, slowest players. That's almost comical.
For the record, I think Kunitz has been skating pretty well. I think he had 2 assists last night. - madmike71
The players they are paired with have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with Crosby or Letang's struggles, both have been paired with just about every available options possible and the play hasn't changed. Their problems are on them and them alone and if anything THEY are dragging down the worst, oldest, slowest players they are playing with. |

sadly yes the play is on them but having washed up duper and kunitz and scuds being scuds makes it ALOT harder than it already is |

With Crosby I'd agree. Letang was much more effective in his short time with Maatta than anyone else. They also haven't put him with Dumoulin for significant time which I think should have been tried. |

Beady little eyes ... that line reminds of that scene from "So I Married an Axe Murderer":
Stuart Mackenzie: Well, it's a well known fact, Sonny Jim, that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentavirate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows.
Tony Giardino: So who's in this Pentavirate?
Stuart Mackenzie: The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, *and* Colonel Sanders before he went tits up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee *beady* eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!"
Charlie Mackenzie: Dad, how can you hate "The Colonel"?
Stuart Mackenzie: Because he puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes ya crave it fortnightly, smartass!

You of course missed the point, but I understand your obsessive dislike of Crosby clouds your judgment.
Yes, Sid and Letang's problems are largely of their own making. Let's line-up those 5 players... Crosby, Letang, Scuderi, Duper, Kunitz. Of those 5, whom do you think has the best chance of regaining their form of the past?
Tell me how it makes sense to pair two guys that you need to get going with guys that have limited skills at this point in their careers? It doesn't. I'd venture to guess the majority of the board understood what I was saying.
Kunitz has something like 3 goals in 50+ games. Duper hasn't played a full season in three years. Gee... Let's put them together with another player that's struggling and expect that to work. That defies logic.
Scuderi is playing some of the worst D in the league. I'm not sure any other team would remotely consider having him in their first pairing. |

Is his D bad enough to send him to the All Star Game? The answer to that is unequivocally "YES"!!

Others understanding it doesn't make it any less incorrect. Crosby has been paired with Kessel, Kunitz, Hornqvist, Bennett, Dupuis, Fehr and now last night Perron was added to that list and guess what the play has been the same regardless of who has been on the line with him. Letang has been partnered with Cole, Scuderi and Maata and guess what the play has been the same and for those saying he played better with Maata, he absolutely did not but I'm sure you saw it that way because you wanted it to be true.
You clearly missed the point that the linemates/partners are irrelevant until they fix whatever is wrong with them. Sid has literally been propped up by every player on the roster except for Sprong who hasn't earned or shown he can handle that type of role. This whole argument is about trying to invent excuses for Crosby-Sprong to play together and here's a news flash for everyone, putting Sprong with Crosby isn't going to do a damn thing other than potentially hurt Sprong's development. |
