Not that I disagree necessarily, but when your PK is so bad that you might as well just concede a goal, why bother being aggressive and play hard and potentially take penalties. That said, there's no excuse for letting the other team WALK to the freaking front of the net without TRYING to take the body. That's basic fundamental hockey right there, take the body and tie them up at least. If they still beat you then fine there's nothing you can do about that, at least you slow them down enough that maybe, just maybe your goalie can make the save and control the rebound.

Our D-zone coverage is a joke, our breakouts make rushes die in the neutral zone when the puck ends up either in the skates or behind the forwards rushing up the ic, and our offensive plays are essentially get the puck in the corner or behind the net and pray someone can get open for a shot. That's a recipe for an Oiler-type tank.

Scramble in front of the net, the team collapses around Miller, even have Canucks standing behind Miller in the crease, one Duck in front and nobody is even trying to tie up his stick, Getzlaf gets his stick on it and it soon ends up in the net. So notta one Canuck taking the man in front of the net, free ride.

Go to the Ducks end of the ice and Burrows is getting crosschecked in front and looking to the ref. Well if the ref is letting it go at one end, they are likely to let it go at the other.

wondering if Dorsett or Prust are hurt. Did Dorsett ever go after Kesler for that hit from last season?

I am ready to sit just about any dman to see Pedan in a game.

Hutton will be back soon.

They need to play with more grit. Everyone on that club needs to be a little harder on the puck. The d is so soft and most of the forwards look like they have no interest in any body contact.

The front of our net was like a bus stop, the area in front of the Ducks net was a bit more violent, but really, I only noticed Burrows going there, getting knocked down and looking at the ref.

memo to Burrows, you are not going to get that call.
