This team is so gutless. MCCann against Getzlaf and no one steps in. Sickning

Getzlaf was smart enough not to fight the kid, so good on him I guess. He would've just destroyed McCann.

They need Lucic Backes for the second line . Get rid of these POS guys that do nothing. Bring Grenier Gaunce in bye Higgins Burrows.

It's not that we lost that bothers me, it's the way we lost, I don't mind losing if we're competitive enough. But this, this is the way the Oilers were losing when they started their drive for a decade of 1OA picks. A few more losses like this, especially at home and I can see Rogers Arena being empty, even of the corporate crowd in the lower bowl. Nobody likes a loser, especially a loser that barely puts up a fight and looks bad doing so.

It really is. Just got back from Hockey and caught the hilites. We looked to be manhandled in every way. Sutter out is hurting us big time and you really can't fault Miller on the first two goals as the D in front of him is just brutal but what is Miller doing out of the paint all the time now flopping around? Third goal was a muffin. In a 2 goal game gotta have that save but still. Hopefully we get a look at Markstrom tomorrow.

We need Buff and Luc badly.

He's flopping around because he doesn't trust the team in front of him, thinks he has to do everything because sure as heck no one will clear the net of bodies or get the puck out of the danger zone. I don't think Markstrom will do much better sadly, the problems this team is having go way beyond giving Miller rest.

When you have a PK that literally lets players WALK to the net with the puck and after a save all end up sitting on their asses beside and behind the goalie while the puck goes in, you know your team is (frank)ed. What's worse is that nobody was hitting... period. The refs didn't do us any favors but (frank), staple someone to the boards, make a hit in open ice. Forget fighting, just hit Getzlaf, Perry and Kesler and make it known that they aren't going to have it so easy.

Doug MacLean was bang on last night. Yes Prust and Dorsett didn't do their job last night but what about Higgins Burrows Hamhuis Edler Tanev Sedins Hansen Weber Bartowski And Cracknel. How can they stand around and watch this.

This has been my biggest complaint about these cream puffs for years. Soon as we play a big team they run and hide. Not a good system to teach the young guys.

Last night was one of the harder games to watch in awhile, which is saying something, but tonight could be worse.

Not that I disagree necessarily, but when your PK is so bad that you might as well just concede a goal, why bother being aggressive and play hard and potentially take penalties. That said, there's no excuse for letting the other team WALK to the freaking front of the net without TRYING to take the body. That's basic fundamental hockey right there, take the body and tie them up at least. If they still beat you then fine there's nothing you can do about that, at least you slow them down enough that maybe, just maybe your goalie can make the save and control the rebound.

Our D-zone coverage is a joke, our breakouts make rushes die in the neutral zone when the puck ends up either in the skates or behind the forwards rushing up the ic, and our offensive plays are essentially get the puck in the corner or behind the net and pray someone can get open for a shot. That's a recipe for an Oiler-type tank.

Very possible.

It was tough to watch the hilites from yesterday can't imagine how tough it was to watch that whole game last night.

Soft Soft Soft.

Where the hell were Dorsett and especially Prust? Did WD have their TOI down to 5 min?

The others you mention are a no-brainer but Bartkowski and Cracknell should be mixing it up a bit out there. Disappointing.
