No, we need a Chara/S. Weber/P.K. Subban-type defenseman at their best that can keep teams honest. Byf isn't that player and Lucic is only one guy.

Lucic is the type that drives the defending team into their goalies like Maroon did. We have the players that get driven into the goalie. We need players that do the driving.

But this is the reason why the Canucks are going to slowly start playing to emptier and emptier buildings by the end of the year. How, on a PK can you just LET players skate around you like that, force your goaltender to make one or two big saves then (frank)ing SIT ON YOUR ASS beside and behind him while the the other team has all the time in the world to shovel the puck in??? HOW? THAT'S (frank)ING BASIC FUNDAMENTAL HOCKEY THAT YOU'RE NEGLECTING!

Just (frank)ing send a message and bust some shoulders and ribs with HEAVY checks. Same with the Prust/Cracknell/Dorsett line.

They can either be givers or takers. May as well start to learn to play the game right and give.

I'm not against Sven or Vey. Just have to find the right mix of line mates. And if you can't find the right mix of line mates, then you move them.

What I have been wondering is if Grenier would be more effective than JV. Guessing JV will go to the wjc and we will see more of Gaunce and Grenier.

You are right about sides. lots of different options available. Just want to see WD trying different approaches if, at times, what he is doing isn't working.
