Sorry but I highly doubt Gio's going anywhere! The guy has a Norris type season last year and already you want to ship him and something else for Harmonic.
Not happening! Gio will come around and we'll all be thankful you are not the gm! - K-man25
Not just something else, a first rounder which currently looks like a top 5 lottery pick ! |

What about gio and a first for harmonic and del colle?! - pzoxic
Sorry, this is just not to bright. If we are giving up a 2x Norris candidate, we are not adding a 1st. They will be adding on that deal. Gio is still only 32 with a lot of mileage left in him. |

Burke stated 2 years ago that Gio and Monny were the 2 only untouchables, I'm sure their status hasn't changed much, but you could probably add Brodie, Bennett, Johnny and Hamilton to that list.

So anyone think we can lend a helping hand to our neighbors in Winnipeg? Hiller would look great in jets uniform! They have plenty of cap space and from what i herd Pavelec was seen leaving on crutches after the game! |

Would be great to clear up the goalie situation. What would the Jets give up? |

Well you would have to think since there has been plenty of conversation between Byfuglien and the jets since the Hamonic rumors have come out. If the don't think they can re-sign him maybe there could be a deal involving
Wideman (salary retained) + Hiller for Byfuglien.
Maybe a second on the condition we can re-sign him. Then they can go after there hometown boy. |

Jets are not as desperate for a goalie as you might think. Hutch is more then capable of filling Pavelecs role and Hulleybuck, who they just call up is one of the top goalie prospects in the league. I would be very surprised if they made a play for a goalie.

Brodie has been exceptional and even though he is proving himself far better 5 on 5's, his performance in the past with his teammate and captain, Mark Giordano had excelled tremendously. Michael Frolik has been an awesome acquisition for the Flames. His speed is great to watch. Cheers also to Karri Ramo for his steadfast net minding. It is a pleasure to watch his current abilities. |

Well buddy, I would expect an Oiler pest to spin that perspective on Hudler. Yeah, he isn't top 10 this year, neither is Perry or Getzlaff. Hudler is a bonafide top line winger & please don't say he isn't just because he's struggling early. So is Crosby. Really, Anaheim get a top line forward to get their big boys started, they have enough solid young D they can sacrifice Fowler & they get an NhL ready Granlund & don't call him Sven(2), because he's better than Sven. & they get a 2nd. Islanders get what they want.
Instead I would expect you to say, Oilers can do that better than the Flames, & I think they could. They could probably offer Anaheim Yak & a lottery protected 1st to Anaheim & Anaheim send Fowler & their 2nd to the Islanders & Oil get Hamonic.
I see Yak probably meshing pretty good with Getzlaff & Perry. - Kevin R
no offense dude, but Hudler had one really good year that absolutely eclipsed anything he's ever done in his career. he's a 40-50 point player. |

Yeah, last year had some real lows for Schultz. He looks better this year but December/January hasn't happened yet so I'm waiting to see how that goes.
It occurred to me yesterday that Edmonton could potentially have a line of Matthews-McDavid-Nolan in two years from today. Not trying to flame; just thought it was a funny notion. - fry
If they ended up winning the lottery.... they would either trade it or draft Jacob Chychrun |

will Gio be around when you're actually competing for cups? That's the real question... Hamonic is better for the future than Gio |

Well Dude, he's a top 6 forward & has proven he can be a top line forward. I know they are a dime a dozen because the mighty Oil are all 80+ point players. Thats why you guys have placed where you have all these years. |
