We'd trade Edler for Hamonic.

* Waits for one particularly arrogant Islander fan to mention that Edler isn't good enough for a top 4 spot on the Islanders blueline.

Close Ek but my guess is Hamonic to Edm, Yakapov to Mtl, Emelin to NYI...perhaps some prospects or picks to even things out. Done like dinner

That's a lot of picks needed to even out you guys giving up a 6th defenceman.

Oh that's nice, a 3-way trade where the Habs give up (frank) all? I expect this from Senators fans....

I think they'll lose Sherbak and/or their 1st...if they lose their 1st, they get back their 2nd from Edm...NYI get an IceCap.

Listen, I don't doubt the fact that Eklund has connections to some well placed individuals inside the NHL, but I'd truly appreciate it if we could have some sort of running tab on how many of his rumors ever come to fruition. I understand the counter argument of "hey listen, I'm merely reporting what I'm hearing from my sources, don't shoot the messenger " but at some point, that gets incredibly old. I'm guessing that approximately 5 percent ( too generous? ) of the speculated deals or even the teams reported to be involved in negotiations end up being correct. That's an alarming rate of prognostication any way you cut it folks. I'd be curious to know what percentage of the users of this site come here primarily for hockey related rumors anymore. I mean, how many times does the rat continue to push on the lever once he realizes there's no correlation between the lever and his food? Over time, the rat simply stops wasting his energy and moves on... right? Or at least I'd certainly hope so.

Here's some real inside info for you. Ek doesnt give 2 balls about giving you accurate rumors, he does it for the money his website generates. If he gives you nothing (which is what he is given) then he gets nothing. If he makes up some poop that gets people talking it creates a lot of traffic on his website which in turn generates ad revenue. If you really dont like his BS then leave and he wont get the small coin he gets for your click.

I don't log on here for the rumors, as evidenced by what was just written. I come on to read a few of the bloggers for their respective teams. Of course, the ultimate catch 22 is that by doing so, even though I refuse to indulge in his " inside information" and not specifically click on any of his posts, I'm still supporting his website by reading the other stuff. It's a rather sad reality indeed.

No

It's nothing more than plausible logic.
A guy is available - who are the teams that might need said player?
Then throw sh1t against the wall and see if it sticks.

He even finishes his posts with a question mark.

1. We can't claim he's flat out stating a rumour.
2. What's with that? Is he asking us??!
3. A question isn't a rumour

The true recipe for a successful Hockeybuzz experience is as follows:

1. Enter "www.hockeybuzz.com" into your browser's URL bar.
1a. Internet Explorer users must complete an additional step for access. The step includes locating a bridge and jumping off of it.

2. Once you arrive at the homepage, immediately bypass reading any and all blogs and/or rumors. Report directly to the comments section.

3. Post gifs

4. Profit
