Steve Sterling, Scott Gordon, Lorne Henning, Butch Goring, Jack Capuano..... the only good coach the Isles have had since Al Arbour was Peter Laviolette and to a lesser extent, Ted Nolan. |

And Hamonic isn't going to Chicago. Apparently, as someone else pointed out, he wants to go to a western Canadian team for the Canadian health system. - JohnScammo
If this is about a family member why would Hamonic need to be in their health system? The family member is already in it.
Assuming the family member is outside of Winnipeg the next closest city is Minneapolis. Chicago is about the same as Vancouver. Edmonton and Calgary a little closer.
Also FYI, depending on the illness (and if that is the issue) Hamonic is probably paying for private medical care/treatment. Their system sucks for unique illnesses. waiting lists for chemo and things like spinal fusion are not uncommon. Many Canadians travel rather than wait - at least they used to. |

Well he did have a playoff series under his belt. Trottier didn't even last 3/4 of a season. |

At the end of the day nobody really knows what is going on other than a "family issue". Hamonic has requested a trade to WPG or, apparently, Western Caanda which means EDM, CGY, and VAN. MIN isn't very far south of Manitoba either, but they haven't had their names (publicly) tossed in the ring yet. |

Would Hamonic + late pick be enough? How much would it take to get Kevin Shattenkirk out of St. Louis? |

Even with the injuries he put up 44pt in 56 gms last season. He would be a stud on the PP and puts up big ice time. Doesn't hit as much Hammer.. but not many do. |

Parayko makes him expendable but the talk is they would move him for a forward. That doesn't get Hamonic very close to Winnipeg either. Maybe a 3 way deal? |

Don't always need to hit, honestly. (I await the dozens of comments telling me I'm wrong) Just need a guy that can retrieve the puck out of the corners and exit the zone with possession safely. |

I'd give them Hamonic and Okposo for Shattenkirk without thinking twice. Outside of Tarasenko, they are hot garbage down the right side. |

Really the only US states reasonably close to Manitoba are Minnesota and Michigan. DET could probably use a defenseman like Hammer, but I highly doubt Garth is looking to move a guy like Travis inside the Eastern conference. |
