There has been talk in the past about penalties lasting the whole 2 minutes whether the other team scores on not.
- hillbillydeluxe

Which penalties? Not all minors... that wouldnt work.... you would have games where for 30 minutes, there would be teams on the PP...

Or worse.... not calling game changing penalty because the need at least 20 minutes of 5 on 5 tonight....

Or you get scored on 3 times after a dive that the refs later realize in between periods dooped them... so the world can see just how much cause and effect is in effect with the officials.... I would stop watching hockey.... they go too far already.

LA Kings prospect Patrik Bartosak brought up on 12 counts of domestic violence...

Wow the Queens are having a good run with the criminal element...

I guess eastern European foreplay isn't acceptable here in North America.

Really the best and most valid reason to avoid that rule. I didn't like the idea, but logically you've thwarted it. To go even further, with more tired guys on the PK (which also gives the league less time to market its stars), you'll see more penalties taken while short, so more 5-on-3's. It would be a gongshow

An interesting idea Craig Button posted was keeping the goalies in the crease. I kinda like the idea that a goalie can't come out to challenge the shooter, but over time the goalies would just get bigger and negate the change anyway

I would love an off season where they just leave things as they are. Not next off season though. Next offseason the coach's challenge needs to be taken out to the woodshed.

They need a grey confusing rule to enforce every season or it's too easy to see the manufactured aspects of the game results. Thats what I've believed for years and years now.

TSN 1040 Vancouver has laid off JEFF PATTERSON as well as Matt Baker and Cam Mitchell.

I won;t grave dance today but what will the station do without Patterson's ability to open the phones, ask a question then take 45 minutes answering his own question while taking no calls. He was the ultimate network time-killer.

Weiss has more goals then anyone on the Canucks thus far this season with 8. What does that say about all your options?

agreed. at least WWE doesn't pretend it's completely real, or anything but scripted.

Eight days to American Thanksgiving…

Although the Canucks have squandered some points, they still only have six regulation loses in 19 games.

The #Canucks call up winger Alex Grenier from Utica. Two goals and seven points in 13 games his season. Shinkaruk returned to Utica.

Alex Grenier makes more sense for a fourth line position….size matters. Especially against a team like Winnipeg.

I think he is definitely the better suited for that role thank Shink, I am interested to see how he does. (Likely) Another debut for a rookie, Canucks seem to be going for a record or something

Grenier would become the 12th former Comets player to make his NHL debut.

Not sure if its because Vrbata is missing, but I am not sure I like the bottom 6. Seems like Shink could have had a second chance, playing 3rd line
