That's not all he had to say, his derogatory comments cost him some quality HB time.
- Makita

I think derogatory comments are his quality time.

By Middle East we are referring to teams like Chicago and Minnesota. ISIS is just our way of saying I Skate I Score. A lot of us play hockey, so we are just bragging about our beer league games.

Red Wings are really screwing up the league by letting in so many free agents, most of them are goons who will just start fights every game.

I'm gullible and loved your national political party and hockey correlations but this one not so much.

Well he can now spend his quality time practicing his derogatory comments in the mirror.

Yes they need to learn. I don't know how it's such a revelation to people... I also don't understand how we come out of a 101 point season with a rookie coach who in his sophomore season is fighting for 1st the entire season so far is not "NHL". Torts is NHL... he crashes and burns teams... like this one. AV was making Willies playoff mistakes with almost a decade of NHL head coaching experience.... you could go on and on with the names of "real" NHL coaches actually.... but at least WD is new and learning... So all in all it isnt as bad as it looks yet...

I really do think he need special teams help. That may change the outlook of our coaching abilities. They need to hire and fire a assistant or two.... and then find a couple of players who can help the PP.

- boonerbuck

you make an interesting argument with bringing up some other coaches. Crappy ones yes but nhl experience....

I would agree that an assistant should go....Lidster. I'd like to see Gulutzen have a larger role on the bench, he has been an asset and unsung hero with the team. Have Carlyle fill Lidsters place....then we have a cup winning coach driving the D and 2 head coach experienced coaches

So I'm back on the road and missed quite an interesting night yesterday, but as I've stated in the past I always catch up...which is the case here. There is one poster that won't be around until mid Dec. and others with warnings sent, and I only warn once.

As a canucks fan, and a member of the canucks fan brethren, I've tended to give more leeway to this group. But for gawd sake stop baiting, poking, prodding or even interacting with individuals like surreyoilers, I'm not wanting to step in on our own but I certainly will.

Surrey Oiler fan deserved the month. Walshy always comes in with friendly fire IMO and gets the jabs going both ways. I am pretty sure most of us don't mind his teasing.

For Canucks to be Cup Contenders this year are Skippy like fantasies. This is a transition year.

Take the losses and understand this year our age is a factor with the young and old. Enjoy the hockey .

To me , losing helps lthe emotional attachment loosen of the players that need to go. We have known since 2013 these core players need to go.

Accept the high draft pick. Get in quality players with the cap space and continue playing the new guys.

The best thing at TDL is moving everyone. Yes everyone of the core over 30 .

Not sure I would call the ACC hallowed ground. Has it ever seen a playoff game?

Not Maple Leaf Gardens. There may only be one hallowed ground left in the NHL: MSG.

I don't understand leaf fans that are in here frequently going on about our obsession with leaf fans. Don't they see the irony?

He is doing great. Was expecting Gaunce to be be back before seeing Shinkaruk, hope we see his first tonight, would be a great place to score it.

Shinkaruk to play with cracknell and Dorsett. Gaunce maybe would have made more sense there but is apparently banged up

Be nice to see Hutton, Horvat, Gaunce, Shinkaruk, McCann and Virtanen all in the lineup after the TDL.

You bash WD for being inexperienced and making mistakes, but you want Gulutzen to have a larger role? You realize that by seasons end they will have the same experience with WD having more success at literally every level. AHL - WD won, NHL record - WD only needs 9 more wins to surpass Gully's total (plus has playoff exerpience).

Coaches will make mistakes, just like the players will. Its tough to be in a position to put your success and trust in players to provide the outcome you desire. Even having Babcock coaching here would only have a minimal impact on the bottom line, the players play the game and the Canucks' horses are just getting old and the new ones aren't quite ready to be impact players

11 #NHL teams have 10+ wins so far this season. #Canucks will face 5 of them (MTL, CHI, NJD, MIN & DAL) in next 6 games #minigauntlet

Tough stretch to have a lot of regulars out of the lineup!! #sinkingfeeling
