ACC was home to one of the biggest choke jobs ever seen in pro hockey playoffs. - bloatedmosquito
Which one? The Game 7 4-1 collapse was in Boston. Other than that there was that time RoenRichard beat Belfour in OT...not a whole lot of historic playoff poop at ACC. We haven't had a chance to choke on a home ice SCF Game 7 there yet. |

Yeah, that was a reach. Thinking if Miller continues to play well and a contender needs a goalie, we would need a vet to play with Markstrom.
Something about Reimer's face bugs me.
Seems a bit moody. |

We're trying to make it to last place at this point, we're pretty (frank)ing far from round 3.

They also made it to round 3 against the Sabres in '99 and the Hurricanes in '02, but it didn't work out. |

Maybe this is Nuckers way of getting Schenn to Van...wasn't he a proponent of the Schenn Bros to the Nucks??

I sincerely hope Desjardins gives Markstrom a healthy workload over the next few weeks. The Canucks are one of a handful of teams that have four games next week. Miller needs a rest.
Some decisions Willie's making are not that of a veteran coach IMO…but whuddo I know.

Generally speaking if we had a lottery pick, who would you want? Mathews, Chychrun, or trade down to pick 7-8 and get a bc defender in Fabbro? - phyllee
Chychrun will be a #1 dman. Something we desperately need. Matthews will be great as well, but we need defense. |

Same was said in Med Hat where ho coached the Tigers to two championships. Same was said in Texas where he won an AHL championship.
I'm willing to give him a little more time than 1 1/2 years and 'just a little' more proper player personnel to work with. He has a good history with young players which I'm sure Benning and Linden looked straight at. WD is gonna make mistakes and we are going to have to live through them. Like last night I was all over WD for not starting Markstrom and I stand by it. He also should have had Shink in. He has provided some good results with Horvat MCCann Hutton and JV. Let's see what he can do handling Shink and Gaunce.
I have said before that I'm not totally sure WD is here to be a playoff SCF coach as of yet. I'm not totally sure Benning is here to build a SCF team either. But it's way to early in their tenure to claim they are not qualified. |

It feels like that right now, and the same for WD and TL. Even though we question some of WD's decisions, he is following the script as laid out. Actually playing the kids more this season then he had played Horvat last season.
I'd still rather make the playoffs than miss, but the payoff for the future might be better if we are out. So even as we lose, there is a silver lining.
The ship is headed in the right direction. |

Obviously. The Leafs have never been to a 4rth round in the entire existence so that would be impossible.

Yeah the most playoff games they have ever won was 11 in 1993, we have won 15 twice. |
