He was awful tonight. He's muscled off the puck easily. His passes miss the target. His rushes go nowhere. His shot is worse than a muffin. If they fall out of a playoff spot by the deadline, they won't be getting first rounders for him or Vrbata. |

NHL wants more goals then get better refereeing.
Start with calling the x checks n other many missed calls.
2 refs oughta do better than they do IMO |

there's obviously something wrong with Hamhuis... but it'll be alright. he'll either sign for 3rd pairing money or he'll be moved at the TDL for assets we can use...
if a useless turd like Redden and Kaberle who were worse than Hamhuis at similar points can garner first rounders, or top pair kind of money based on history, then there'll be a GM or three that'll give it up for an Olympic champion, and (previously) top pair guy like Hamhuis...
no point getting ur panties all twisted to the doom and gloomers... |

true, but people in the east don't stay up to watch the Nux play... and the Nux generally do pretty well against the east teams, who they do watch the Nux play against..
these guys scout the Nux against eastern opponents by and large, so the odd bad game against an east opponent won't really affect Hamhuis' or Edler's value since they may very well show a flash of something against another east opponent...
I could forsee a team like the peng wings, caps or habs trying to match up against the rags defense by bringing in a guy like hammer or edler... |

I had a long hockey talk with a Montreal Fan on Wednesday. He was pretty hockey smart . He said the Habs need a Dman and a top 6 RW . I said how about Vrbata. He said " you are joking right? He has been trouble everywhere he plays. " they want Iginla. They love Burrows but don't see him as a scorer . They don't want Hamhuis , they want someone tougher. |

Most fans here think Tinordi is a bust. They would give him up easily . I think he is a bust too |

I would agree, id just want like a draft pick, bennings scouting doesnt seem to have anything wrong with it so sure he could find a good player with it |

Vrbata might get a first if his goal production gets over 20 by TDL but it's looking like it won't. The days of a first for Hamhuis are over. Better take the 2nd and run. |

Do you think GM's in the East don't watch any West games? Do you think they just ignore 53% of the league? I think they would at least make sure those games are taped to watch. I can't imagine many people in a profession (high high up in that organization) only worry about 47% of their direct competitors. Maybe I'm wrong. |

i think they are like the media out there... just watch highlights, leave it to scouting staff who put in some analysis... it's like the old saying goes... no one ever got fired for picking IBM... in this case it's that no one got fired for going with the consensus and the survey says....
Edler and Hamhuis are still solid defenceman
you'd be surprised how many so called professionals, "just mail it in"... i see it all the time from people who are supposed to be professionals, making 200k and up, in the IT industry and their clients in every industry... i doubt its any different in the NHL... how else to explain Ron Delorme?? |

Nux aren't going anywhere if higgie is on the PP...
why we don't have 22-33-17 and then 47-91-14 as our top two units doesn't make sense... 18-21-53-36 all should be ahead of 20 on the PP...

when someone asked, "i don't know why higgins is on the PP. Higgins replied, "I don't know why either""....
