Good game by our boys, Jones looked good, still some defensive short comings, need to fix that bottom pair.

I think he's been pretty solid for the most part.. Every defender not named vlasic has a couple slip ups from time to time. We're certainly a much better team with him on the roster and he shows better chemistry with burns than anyone else on the team. But if you're expecting him to provide much more offence than this then you'll continue to be dissapointed.

Well said. When he's paired with Burns he makes up for a lot of mistakes made by 88. Also, it let' Burnsie fly around and make plays. I really like that pairing, I just wish we had a NHL caliber 3rd pairing. If we did we'd be winning the division right now.

I also wish we had more offensive potential on that first pairing. Braun simply isn't a 1st line caliber player... We should look into a Braun/Dillon + prospect(s)/draftpick(s) trade for a guy like byfuglien in my opinion

Deboer has been encouraging Vlasic to play more offensively lately. And it has been working well

Oh, and I have been saying it all offseason, last season and I will say it again.

Karlsson might be a lower level talent, but he fills a need on that top line, and it shows. A lot of people were calling for him to be demoted and not play with the Joe's again, and I argued vehemently that he fills a need on that line.

So far in his games back up there, that line looks the best it has all season.

When Couture comes back, we will have scoring depth again!

Also, karlsson is definitely looking like the best fit on the Thornton line. When couture comes back, if we keep goldobin, we could possibly roll:

Karlsson. Thornton. Pavelski
Marleau. Couture. Ward
Goldobin. Hertl. Wingels
Nieto. Tierney Donskoi
Smith, Torres, brown, goodrow

How's that for depth
