If that's the case I would applaud a suspension, and as owner of the team I would want Burrows to apologize to his team mates and the fan base publicly. Then he can send a text message to two too, cause that's how NHL'er roll these days.

It doesn't really matter if he gets suspended or not does it? I mean, Torres just got what, 40 games? After being suspended 25 games two years ago? How many suspensions were there last year? Hockey is a fast game, you see a guy lined up, and you go for the kill. Every time a player hits another player they are trying to hurt them. To make them wary of playing the puck next time, or panicking and making a bad pass etc. Just my opinion, which doesn't count for poop.

If you told a cop to (frank) off, he'd probably make sure you spent a night in the drunk tank. If you told a cop to stop crying about his dead brother and drunk mother, he'd probably accidentally slam your face in the car door as he was pushing you in face first, then maybe drop you off 50 miles outside of town with no shoes.

I don't believe the NHL operates inside a buble. As Lefty has already mentioned, there are provisions written into the CBA and I bet every player SPC about player conduct. Now that we're on this, I wonder if this would be enough to void a contract...

Thats clearly a body hit... body to body initially.... people have such a hard time separating what happens after principle contact. They see his head whip... it's head contact... they see elbow move after hit... it's an elbow... people see puck not on stick... it's late....

There's no way that is late in real time... JV should be in the box every second hit if thats the case wow... he got creamed and the refs went heavy on the penalty. I think the league will be more than happy with the penalty and happy we dont have a 19 year old vegetable on our team.

All the same things were said about Buflyglien hit last week... but I saw the same things as this hit... principle contact was fine. League took a look... nothing. Head snapped and there was after principle contact. The elbow rose naturally after contact... All the panelists and media were calling suspension like they never watched the replay...

Maybe they should make a coaches challenge on it.

If it is true and Burrows went that far in his comments al I'm saying is that Tootoo probably said crap to Burrows just as bad. Leave it on the ice. For Tootoo to come out publically is pretty chicken shat but obviously he felt emotional enough to do so. I'm not in any way defending Burrows if he did act like a jackass but Tootoo is known through the league to be a tool. So again I wouldn't be shocked to hear Burrows' side of what Tootoo was saying. But really leave the public out of it.
