Was at the game tonight. The officiating was terrible both ways all night. Particularly the Larsson major and the Hamuis interference call in OT. Unfortunately the officials are becoming the story more and more in the NHL.

No he shouldn't. I don't like that it happened (if it did), but if every player who said something classless was suspended, the Sedins wouldn't have anyone to play against. Or with.

We expect these guys to hit and fight but we draw the line at what words they use?

If Burrows did say that shlt though, then Dorsett should have let him fight his own fight.

Depends on what was said and I havent heard anything yet. Saying we should have killed all Inuits and poop like that...yes... making fun of him eating seals is no different than all the frog talk the french have to put up with. Even in this thread people are going on about swedish meatballs after Edler fkd up.... it's pretty normal in team sports.... there should be a bar set... but it's set at the bottom if you are white...

Different circumstances, but I certainly can't argue the point other than the public aspect. Avery said his to a couple of dozen television camera, smiling like an idiot the whole time.

That seems like a very fair and unbiased assessment. However look at the larson hit.... its definitely a 5 min major and suspend-able offense. Late hit and primary contact was to the head....with his shoulder and elbow. They got it very right!

However Prust was more referring to the way he acted after the fight like he won the heavyweight title, flexing his arms and stuff which is bush league.

Reminds me of David Backes fighting Mackinnon when he was 18 years old.

Whatever happened or didn't happen, Tootoo is an idiot for saying anything. Makes himself look like a victim and has opened up a huge can of whoop-a$$ everytime he plays ... anyone.
