Not cold enough for them to have the heat on yet. Those trains can get so cold that MDW could store the semen samples he orders online for later consumption at his leisure. - eichiefs9

Mayfield's skating is 110% not a strength of his. He's improved but he is definitely not a "big body that can skate" by any stretch of the imagination. - eichiefs9
I disagree. His skating isn't horrendous. For his size he can skate fine. |

Capuano: Tavares still very sick, getting checked out again today. "I don't expect him here for a little bit."
Mono? - Vukota
I call bullsh$t yet again. He's hurt. Bottom line. First of all, the players all get flu shots. Second of all, the trainers have the best of the best for them and they can get IV liquids in them. There's no way JT has the flu. To me, they're hiding an injury. |

What kills me its the same exact shat year after year. Same mistakes same players disappearing for long stretches. Yet nothing ever changes. It's comical at this point. - Vukota

Flu shots are not the most effective things in the world. In fact they're not really effective at all. Who knows maybe he's injured (im going to go with no on that also btw) but to think he doesnt have the flu because of what you mentioned is kind of ridiculous. Players from all teams get the flu every year and teams get ravaged by it. |

Dude it's been 50-60 degrees out......it's not the dead of winter. The flu isn't going around right now. My point is that when pro athletes are "feeling under the weather" they get loaded up with IVs. I'm gonna guess they are getting better treatment than you or I would. Even if the flu was going around (which again it is not) maybe you miss a game or two. Going on three games missed and I'm calling bullsh$t. I'm saying he's injured and they are Keeping it quiet for whatever reason. |

Side note : I've gotten the flu shot for the last 10 years and I've not gotten the flu in those 10 years. I'm sure you'll know someone who has but for me.....it's worked. |

The policy, passed by the G.M.’s last June, has elements which make it the most arbitrary and extreme in pro sports, reads as follows: “Clubs no longer are required to disclose the specific nature of player injuries. Clubs are, however, required to disclose that a player is expected to miss a game due to injury, or will not return to a game following an injury. Clubs are prohibited from providing untruthful information about the nature of a player injury or otherwise misrepresenting a player’s condition.”

I had a stomach flu for three days last week. People get the flu this time of year and when one gets it in the same house or locker room even it spreads. I wouldnt put anything by the islanders as far as covering up injuries or some other stupid poop believe me I think theyre idiots the way they handle stuff like this sometimes but your theory of the flu not being around or the flu shot being the end all be all is flawed its just not true. He may nit have the flu he may have some other ailment who the (frank) knows all that matters is he can't play I can honestly care less why I just hope he comes back from it asap. |

Well in fairness ( ) that didnt stop them from having an injured DiPietro on the bench backing up during a game. With that said I dont think thats the case in this situation. |

It doesn't say you can't dress an injured player, but it does say that you can't say a player is sick when in reality he had his arm cut off juggling chainsaws after practice. |

I hear you.....I hope he's back too. Oddly enough Strome only missed 1 game. Tavares is gonna miss 3 with no idea of his return. When you're sick don't you think you have a timetable of return? I think the isles are being so quiet because they are keeping whatever injury it is private. |

So what you're saying is that you actually believe that Snow and the Islanders are actively and publicly defying a pretty clearly defined rule? |

BTW, the flu shots are a crapshoot. They study bird viruses in China in the spring to make educated guesses as to what the most likely flu strains are going to show up in the U.S. in the fall. It takes many months to prepare vaccines in sufficient quantity for the U.S. Sometimes they even guess right! |

I've never gotten one in my life. I live with a nurse. I've had the flu once and I think I was maybe 13. Based on this evidence I will declare that I have a superior immune system and am a modern marvel of physical science. |
