I know it's only three weeks in and they haven't played a big rivalry game, but they do look listless and clueless. Franz had two big goals to keep them in the CAR and NJD games, but wow, no hint of attack of playmaking around the net and no zone awareness in the offensive zone....yuk yuk all the way.

Poor JT has to come back and carry this team of passengers on his back.

And some wonder why some of us are so negative? We are not inventing these problems. A significant coaching or player move needed to be made in the offseason. You cannot just add a backup goalie and call it a day.

Bottom line they played 40 mins tonight and it's just not good enough in the NHL.
Yesterday they took half the first period off tonight they took the 3rd off and it cost them. You have to play 60 minutes.

This kind of game, and the last couple, when Arbour coached, would have had repercussions for the passengers that Jiggs mentioned. Frankly, we've all seen enough of this type of play from the team the last couple of seasons.
Once the new owners take over, (when DO they take over??) how long will it take them to oust Capuano, Snow or both?

Islanders deserved a better result, they carried most of the game but Ullmark made some good saves and is coming up big for Buffalo. If Tavares was in the lineup they would have been able to open it up a bit more. Im sure the Isles will get revenge on the Sabres soon enough. Too much talent for the Islanders for them not to be one of the better teams in the East.

I believe they take over in June? Anything less than a Cup and everyone needs to go. Total clean house.
