So, time to give some other guys a chance in the lineup? First, camp was going to determine whether we'd see Petrov. Then it was letting him get minutes in the AHL until an injury opened up a roster spot. This will be the third straight game without Tavares where Bernier gets in instead, who's looked like this year's version of Marty Reasoner so far.
On D, anyone think the team would be any worse off subbing either Pulock for Zid, or Mayfield for Strait for a game or two?
Seems to me like injuries/illness (Hickey and Tavares) combined with three straight losses to teams they should have beaten would be the perfect time to put some hungry players in who will lay it all on the line to try and stick.

Tavares isn't sick, he was injured in a horse stampede. The "illness" is really just a big conspiracy. Like 9/11 and the existence of MDW's girlfriend.

Yeah, sorry about that. Didn't mean to hold you to the unattainable, high standard of "not making things up". - eichiefs9
Yeah because its not at all within the realm of possibility that the FRANCHISE player is being protected from a potential injury. ALL TEAMS ALWAYS reveal injuries. Just like NO TEAM EVER talks to players before July 1st (before they changed the rule allowing it). Its pro sports man........its about winning and making money. The "Hes out with the flu" is the standard. Again I say........its 60 degrees out, NOONE i know in life, at work, in the gym, etc has the flu......NOONE.

Is your argument really that nobody outside of your own personal circle has the flu, therefore it isn't going around?
