When I look at the flyers I don't know what they are. It's like Anaheim. Not this year right now but you always thought big, fast and mean. Detroit is skilled and posses the puck. Rangers are defensive and have Henrik. Point is lots of teams have identities, but I don't know what the flyers are. It's like they have pieces of things but not enough of the pieces to have an identity. They are mutts right now.

Part of that is they don't have Hakstol's system totally implemented yet. Maybe by mid season we can see exactly all the parts of his system then we will know what the Flyers should be.

Not a shocker. Gagner and Laughts can't both be centers -- and Jake and G need to find their games individually right now. This will allow them to simplify things. Simmer has looked a lot better the last few games keeping things within his limits. Depending on how this looks I'd like to see Read bumped down and Schenn moved to Coots' left when "Shutdown Seanie" isn't shutdown himself anymore.

This is pretty out there but I don't mind it. Raffl has shown an ability to win faceoffs when given the chance. With his skating and defensive ability he's actually a good backup center option. He will help Gagner keep the pedal on offensively I think. As for the defense, I assume 55-22 is the third pair. Scratch that. I am PRAYING that is the third pair in usage

Kinda what I suggested this AM. DIfferent in Gagner on 3rd line, Laughton on 2nd & Schenn at LW instead of C.

I'm down with these, they're interesting and fairly balanced.
