O can't even remember the last time one of our forwards didn't go wide with the puck in the zone. None of these guys ever try to cut to the front.

Can anybody please be an offensive catalyst? Please oh please?

what has he done in his career that would possibly give you any hope ever that he could go on a tear and score 30. i would have no problem if he were gone after tonight. the guy brings nothing to the table.
- hammarby31

The problem is , from an offensive prospective, you can say that about all of their forwards short of Giroux, Voracek and prior to this season Simmonds..

Well to be honest outside of Gudas, Simmonds and Luke they aren't a gritty bunch. The notion that they are hard workers than can win trench battles even if they don't have skill is iffy to me.

It's just a bad mix. I am probably most dissapointed with Read. Thought he could be a guy going forward. Liked him. He's been poop for a while now.

i was a big fan of his. he's been useless for quite some time.

The have a good fourth line.

I think Laughton, Simmonds and that fourth line along with Raffl are good pieces. Honestly the rest? Meh.

- flyer_nutter

Yeah, they have some decent pieces up front, but good lord that group of Dmen is just a steaming pile of monkey dung.

i think gagner, coots, and raffl are capable of chipping in pucks. there's something more valuable to all of their games than schenn. i hate watching him play. and i hate that i hate watching him play.

Long term? I am cool with say MDZ, Medvedev, Gudas. #4,5,6 dmen.

The scary thing. If these d prospects don't pan out haha. Thankfully just with the numbers you hope some of the kids can be top 3 guys. Mediocrity can always be found in FA.

I don't particularly care for him either. I think he is very JVR-like that he just disappears for long periods at a time. I hope he can turn it around. If not I hope to see him moved for more of a skill based forward.

So now they kick him downstairs?

Seriously though, its getting to the point where this roster could become trade city by the deadline.

But kept most of the players the old GM brought in.

It's is the guys on the ice, but someone put them there.

Sixers down 20 in their home opener. Now that is how you tank.

Thank God for Temple football, it's all Philly's got right now. I can't believe I just typed that last sentence. The end times are here!

I find it mind boggling that it's only 2-0. That due to the one player who has shown up. Nuevirth.

Keep dumping the puck in and not winning one puck battle. Then when they finally managed offensive pressure, they pass it back to onw of the six bottom pairing (frank)s they have so he can shoot it into the opponents leg pads or wide.

Fair enough.

If a team is counting on Gagner, Raffl and Couturier to be their point producers after Giroux and Voracek then we really should just give up on ever scoring and start trapping more.

Cant wait to see the young group get here over the next few years.
