Agree, posted the other night expressing that sentiment.

However building with a young roster has alot to do with building confidence. With a .889 or whatever save percent it is for johnson does not help whatsoever. In fact it hinders. Being that it is awhile untill lehner is back and even longer i presume untill he is in form, we wont find out what we have with him untill february if at all this season. It will grow increasingly frustrating in the locker room if they have to deal with a sub .900 save percentage for almost the course of an entire season. Not helping young players.

As i have been typing this the sabres have become a completely different team.

Being able to score more than 1 goal a game is a nice change

While his save % isn't great, the team overall has done a pretty good job of limiting the other teams chances. A good portion of his terrible save % is also the result of the Montreal game when the wheels just fell off the bus entirely.

The team knows he is really just the backup and that this is a temporary situation. No need to panic and give up anything for a guy that's really only now needed for about 3-7 weeks.

True about the montreal game. I dont necessarily think murray should make a stop gap fix, and feel that he wont after putting a big egg in the lehner basket.

I do think if johnson continues to give up 3+ a game and lehner is out longer than presumed or struggles mightily upon his return something should be done. When the league average is .915 or so anything under .900 is unacceptable and will absolutely hurt the confidence of our youngins.
