Yep...I would bet ( not a lot ) but if it came down to 1 game to win the Stanley Cup.

More than 1/2 would pick Bernier over Reimer.

- Garnie

Bernier looks poised and has rebound control, but gives up a stinker (sometimes 2)

Reimer is all over the place, little rebound control but seems to make most saves...not as good a goalie overall IMO.

im hoping one of the AHL goalies can do it, or we look elsewhere.

I suggest we all move on from the Benier-Reimer bs and let the tshirt tucking, wrangler wearing, 3-some having poster debate with himself about this poop that doesn't really matter.

For me - I had an ounce of hope for both of them although probably a touch more for Bernier. It's all gone ...they suck.

However, their suckiness, this year, is alright by me.

The draft is shaping up pretty nice - even behind Matthews. Nylander, Tkachuk, Chychrun, Little-Selanne ....

oh, I forgot you believe and post everything you read

both have been criticized in here....quite a bit.

most of it deserved

Last 2 games:

Bernier 5goals against..... But I saw post that said he played well

Reimer 4 goals against and he was terrible, shouldn't be in the league anymore.

Let that sink in......

I see your point but but I cheer for a W but AM would be a nice addition to the Leafs.

I cheer for wins too. But after the loss I can appreciate what they're trying to do.

would be great if it all came together at once.

I wonder if WPG would move one of their 2 prospects, both very highly ranked.

I'm not huge into the reimer/bernier debate, its been done.

moreso interested to see what other goalie options will be out there down the road when bernier/reimer contracts are done.

Bernier rebounds has been not as good as in the past. Maybe the new techniques they are trying to teach?

without a doubt they are going to be working on rebound control, it's so key to success.

Price is a rebound master.

I said Bernier played ok....5 goals doesn't mean a thing if you're letting guys like Subban rip it from the hash marks...or you let Patches ( 1 of the better scorers in the league ) walk right in...maybe he should have had it..but still...1 bad goal.

Reimer didn't even get a piece of the puck...not even close to being in the right spot...yet I didn't rip him...actually I said he played all right for the amount of playing time he gets.

So, maybe you need to stop taking some posters so seriously?

For a guy who told me he doesn't have a fav goalie...you are 24/7 putting down Bernier and sticking up for Reimer...not that I care...we've seen which goalie the management seems to think gives them the better chance. ( more than 1 coach/management team)

I'm guessing the Shanaplan involves save percentages better than .902 and .876. So if they don't improve on that, they won't be part of the plan going forward.

I wonder if Babs would want to have Howard back again.

Howard was an all-start last year before he got hurt and a 3 time (37) game winner. Also, his "downfall" in DET is a bit overstated... it has as much to do with Mrazek becoming a high goalie as projected than Howard's play falling off.

---

Now, to be perfectly honest, until the players adapt to Babs culture, I dont think anyone will have an easy go in the pipes in TOR.

Meh. He's takes poop way out of proportion. You say anything remotely positive about Bernier, and Burn will (frank) you up. Reimer on the other hand, very unlucky goalie. Team collapsed

Bernier looked like poop on Saturday, doubt anybody is saying he played well that night, but the two games prior, he was solid... which is why he earned the 3rd start.

Reimer needs to take the chances he gets to step in, and show what he's made of... the only time he's played well is when the job was handed to him. Might say something about his mental strength.

I said he played ok...Subban ripped one from close in ( or whoever that was ) also had a deflection off of #40's skate...can never remember his name...he wasn't great...but we didn't give him much to work with.

Bernier lets in a goal in the first couple shifts and this trend goes back to last year, and you are questioning Reimer's mental strength?

Neither are NHL starters and I question whether either is even an adequate backup int this league. There is really not much to say beyond that.

Reimer may not let in bad goals at the beginning of the game, he usually waits until the team looks like it might win.
