I think Brayden Schenn has stood out in most of the games he's played this season by not giving up on plays. Most notably his assist on the Laughton goal. He lost the puck and got it right back. He's willing to drive the net and doesn't seem to be forcing anything. He looks relaxed to me and playing a simple game.

I'm excited to see Schenn score. I only hope this is just the sign of things to come.

I think you should substantiate your argument if you want to say that. They play in pairs so I don't think having him down there is taking away from their development. The flyers are aware that its a developmental league and I am sure that's the number 1 goal of the season for them. I dont think you can just throw all the young guys in the toughest situations and see if they sink or swim. It's hard for me to believe they don't have a plan in place for making sure the young guys are worked into situations they want them in

The other day there was an article (may have been friedman's 30 thoughts) that talked about Babcock not putting Reilly on the power play because he wanted him to think about the way he plays defense. I know he is the highest paid, but I would bet my life he isn't the only coach that does this.

Its a simple premise. Having a player like MacDonald on the Phantoms and playing, is taking away ice time from another player.

On the ice, Voynov was worth every penny...not the way you want to clear cap space

Agreed, that was a big loss for LA.

I'm not worried. It's still very early and I can see this team getting some chemistry. Mason has'nt hit mid season form yet either.

Have to believe that Voracek is going to bust out at some point.

That player is Manning so it doesn't matter.

It does matter in my opinion. Macdonald is a veteran of.over 5 NHL seasons and has played hundreds of NHL games. Manning while an ahl veteran is still relatively young and is still a developing player. There is a distinct difference.

One of the biggest issues that's not good is why do we want MacDonald on the Phantoms taking away icetime from young players that need development, and icetime? Not a good situation all around.

The good news is that we dont have any real cap issues.

Nothing that I would consider catastrophic. I think the Flyers are in decent cap shape moving forward.
