Maybe they figured out we don't care. I was a fan of his at first but his attitude annoyed me. I'm glad he's gone even if he does become a good goalie.

If I remember correctly, I think he took a shot off a leg/ankle/foot...but I might be very wrong. It's crazy how much he's been hurt this year considering he's only missed 1 game in the prior two years and about 8 in the 3 years he's been with the Isles.

It sucks, but it hopefully shouldn't have too much of an impact on the team. But I guess you never know.

If it opens the door for Pulock or Pelech, then I think the impact could be tremendous—and in a good way. Why play scrubs, who you KNOW are going to be liabilities when you have prospects with better upside who will only get better?

Zidlicky already showing signs of fatigue, being a 38-yr old on our Top PP unit and Hickey turing into our new Mr Glass, now that Grabner has departed. I also don't buy Staple's BS article about Grabovski fitting in at center. Brock is a better player and shouldn't be forced to ride shotgun to a guy who constantly throws the play offside and likes to make passes back into his zone when he doesn't get a clear lane to the O-zone. This team is still run by the keystone cops—from top to bottom.

Bad news about Hickey. I don't remember a play where I thought he got hurt though he did seem to take a number of non-feet moving penalties. Maybe the injury was there prior to those and contributed to them.

I remember the play. I prayed he would leave the ice and not return. He WAS on the ice in the last minute of regulation— when JT tried a long pass out of the zone, right onto a Blues players' stick. SO does HE get benched for that?
