I don't think Buff will be available without kids/picks going the other way, and that ain't going to help Hexy's process at all. I'm hoping 'panic' isn't in his vocabulary.

Agreed, players like Zac Attack (Torres and John Scott to mention two) should not be in the NHL. They add little value while removing star players to dangerous plays. They are bad for business and the NHL would be wise to ban them, or create protocol for banning their actions (maybe a two or three strikes rule), altogether. If the NHL thinks about itself holistically as a product. Do they really want some scrub hurting star players which bring in revenue and butts in seats? Of course not. I can't stop thinking about the clip from 'Keep your head up kid" the Don Cherry movie where he wants to make an impression in practice so he lays a big hit on the new star player and the GM yells 'why is that $500 player on the same ice as my Million dollar player, get him out of here! (not actual quote)." The NHL product is lessened by the Rinaldos and Don Cherrys (as a player).

If Coots and B. Schenn can't go, I'm pretty sure they have the cap space to bring up Cousins.
- ravishingone

If that doesn't send the message to VLC I fear he will never hear it.

Flyers top line dominated last night.

Also thought the Medvedev-schenn pairing was the best. I'd like to see schenn stay in the lineup for the time being

Well, the top line dominated for a period+OT for sure. And agree on the defense.

I believe Vinny is the 14th forward only because of his NMC. Also, to this point the Flyers are unwilling to buy him out. Also, I think Cousins at this stage of his career can give the Flyers a better chance to win then Vinny at this stage of his career.

So when does Boston come to Philly? Can we just let Goulbhorne line up with rinaldo and get this out of the way early. Tyrrell can throw them.

Sometimes it takes a game like this to get a team to gel.

I know, I know...

My nephew met Steven Tyler.

He described him as a midget who looked like an old cafeteria lady.

Is Goulboune a better knuckle dragger than Mathers and/or Rosehill?

Not without using LTIR according to this. They have $670,001 in cap space, and Cousins' cap hit is $842,500.

They could call up Labarbera if Neuvirth can't go, or Brent/Conner/Palushaj. Colin McDonald is injured.

Funny thing is, I'm not even sure Rinaldo meant to do that.

I'm not sure if his actions come from a place of stupidity or simply instinct at this point.

Great to see belly get rewarded last night. He does a lot for this team and plays his ass off. He's the glue guy in the bottom 6

PEB is one of my favorite players. He's got decent hands and can pot a few now and again.

He totally has. He really trusts VDV and PEB.

If Coots is out, look for Laughton to get more responsibility. He looked really good and combatative tonight too. My guess would be he just gives him some off zone starts with both lines and PP2 time. Lowest minutes on team.

- Mononoke

They got some 3v3 time. That was a bit of a head scratcher, though with Schenn and Couts out, there weren't many other options.

Goulbhorne is actually a decent role player. Can kill penalties. Solid skaterskater. Also I don't want someone like Luke or a regarding hurting a hand.
