I wonder what they can do if Neuv and Schenn and Couts are all out. Labarbera has to be called up and then how much space will they have?
I think vlc is the only option? - Marc D
He probably is. Schenn was at morning skate so I don't know if that's a good sign in that he's probably just dinged up versus something more serious. He was all set to play until pretty late. Coots probably is concussed. That's its own animal -- I doubt he will play. But the coach has no faith in Vinny. He will certainly play the least minutes and be put out there with rubber gloves if he is needed.

I hope Haks has seen the light that neither Gagner nor Umberger deserve to be scratched. They both majorly contributed in their own ways. Even if Umby is only on the 4th line in the future with spot zone starts for defensive situations, he looks so good he needs to be on the ice. Gagner for his shortcomings is producing like few players and really seems to be working hard. Thought White had another unimpressive poor decision making game. He's my top scratch candidate when everyone is healthy.

Hak has been riding the 4th line pretty hard
so I doubt he puts vlc there
maybe with Laughton and then limit the minutes as much as possible is my guess

G and Jake and Simmonds all are streaky - Marc D
Simmer is more streaky than anyone -- and he has looked awful before this game. To their credit G and Jake have been creating a plethora of chances -- just didn't get lucky breaks or anything before tonight. If anything, the last game or two they've been pressing and trying a little too hard to force things. By the third all looked like they had a major confidence boost. A bit of confidence is just what the doctor ordered for them.

He totally has. He really trusts VDV and PEB.
If Coots is out, look for Laughton to get more responsibility. He looked really good and combatative tonight too. My guess would be he just gives him some off zone starts with both lines and PP2 time. Lowest minutes on team.

Just finished the game!
Hell of a push back from the leaders of this team, especially Giroux. Giroux probably had the worst 30 to 40 minutes I've ever seen him play in his career as a Flyer. He's a gamer though.
I thought RJ Umberger and Luke Schenn quietly had solid games. In my opinion we should want Gudas and Schenn in the line up together.
Watched Ryan White closely so I could stand by my faith in him. Still strong at the dot, gritty, tough and penalty killer. He's inconsistent from shift to shift. I love the guy but what an uneven performance. At the same time or Captain was guilty of the same thing.
Well, we joked about who Rinaldo would injure and there it is, answer delivered tonight. I thought the hit was a bit late and certainly high. I think with reputation he gets 10-15.
On a happier note....Nice to see the boys put in a good effort. They didn't play especially well but they certainly showed resilience and pushback. That is what we all wanted and really all we could ask for this season, a team that left it all out on the ice- win or lose.
My best guess, give or take a few players moved around:
pretty awful 2nd period. G was part of the Bruins first three goals.
Mase let in one really bad goal and one was stoppable, then had the save of the year to keep it 4-2.
The Russian was subtly awesome again. MDZ and Luke were solid. Some laser beam shots from Gagner, Simmonds and the game winner from G.
The Bs sat on a 2 goal lead in the 3rd and the flyers top guys got it done.
rinaldo was a Richard. - Marc D
When Mason stoned Pastrnak, that feed the team. They got fired up and really took it to Boston. Score played a role, but the Flyers really shut the Bruins down in the third after the save.
There'd be games like this if they were a contender, but being a team that is going to be fighting for a wildcard spot likely means we see more of them than we otherwise would.

Sometimes it takes a game like this to get a team to gel.

Been impressed with MDZ so far this year, I think he has been their best Dman. He has improved his defensive zone game and he seems to be more physical.
I may be in the few but I would still welcome a trade for Bog Buff(if price was right)
This team as a whole need more physical play.

I don't think Buff will be available without kids/picks going the other way, and that ain't going to help Hexy's process at all. I'm hoping 'panic' isn't in his vocabulary.
