Whipping boy? I think that would be a gross overreaction that yes, sadly some will here will probably have.
Short-term, he really is the best option for the LW spot on the 1st line. Long-term, he is a very good 2nd line winger, or a great 3rd line winger. He has the skill-set where he can be the beneficiary of a good playmaker. But he is not strong enough in creating offense for his linemates, IMO. When G and Jake struggle 5 on 5, he can't help them work through it. He also is not a pure sniper either.
Hextall should look to keep him as part of the core moving forward, but perhaps shift him down a line once a more viable option comes along. - TheGreat28
What you explain here doesn't to me discrib a core player. I'm not knocking Raffl, he's a trigger man, does some dirty work out there and does what he can with what he has to work with but he can be replaced.

I saw Star Wars because our parents gave us a choice, too. I have three younger brothers. Final results:
Star Wars: 3
Rollercoaster: 1
I lost. Still haven't seen Rollercoaster.
PS: thank you Google for reminding me it was 1977 - Scoob
i saw SW in the theater in 77. i was almost 5 years old, and it blew my little mind away. SW geek ever since, although i pretend the pre-quels never happened.
i know conventional wisdom says TESB is the best of the bunch, but I love Jedi the most. i saw it 12 times in the theater over the course of its release that spring/summer of 83 and loved it every goddamn time. i have never, and i mean never, been in a theater when the audience stood and cheered like a live sporting event when the title sequence began and again when vader tossed the emperor down that endless shaft in the death star. literally standing and clapping and going berserk. something i will never forget.
and speaking of that scene, i still don't understand why vader losing his hand was a cause of death for him. makes zero sense to me.

Have you seen the original trilogy despecialized edition? - Tomahawk
Don't know. I owned the 1997 VHS special edition which I was weened on. That has some of the most egregious changes. But I also owned and still do the 2004 DVD collection. I'd wager to say I haven't.
Thanks Bill. Painful game to watch. I am beginning to wonder if they will ever be able to put together a full 60 minute game. Roussel ran over everybody last night. And you know what, everyone is going to do that if the Flyers don't respond. If Gagner is the only player willing to do something, then this is a team with poor character. On paper some of the guys look good, but on the ice it's a different story. How many times does a goalie have to bail out the team? Most of our shots were around the blue line, or the top of the circles. The Stars goalie was made to look like "the second coming" with shots like that. Hopefully, the team can bounce back tonight; since the B's are not bringing their "A" game tonight. However, if the lack of motivation is still present from last night, good luck boys. Can we beg Arizona for Duclair? Will the real Flyers team stand up? Will Hexy be forced to eat some salary in order to work out a trade for Vinny or McD? How many coaches will be forced out of a job, before the players are finally allowed to move on?

I thought his cause of death was electrocution from getting fried while tossing the Emperor into that shaft.
The cut off hand just meant that he got his asthmatic ass kicked in that duel.

Han totally shot first though. - Mononoke
Yeah, that's what it's all about, lol, they undid a lot of Lucas' edits and restored the film back to its original form, in HD:

i just did some digging and found this to be the reason. i never for once thought the "Force Lightning" that was still shooting out of the emperor's hands damaged vader because he doesn't get hit by the bolts, #1 and, #2, luke took an absolute direct beating with these bolts and he didn't die, so why would vader? i don't get it.
