Compensation is the word, thought I heard the league was going to change the rules around this but if you are an organization and paying for a coach, that isn't coaching, there should be some kind of compensation if another organization wants his services...

I think that getting out of the contract would be compensation enough, we did fire him.

Yeah that's the word I was looking for, and im hoping if he goes somewhere we get a third out of it, seems to be the norm for coaches who were fired.

Yeah, it might even be that simple now. I just remember some talk of compensation being an off season point of discussion at the BOG meetings or something.
