i realize this is a large variable to be wrenching in there, but if you could somehow eliminate alcohol from the equation, you would eliminate virtually all of the issues from eagles games/parking lot related activities. - stayinthefnnet
Yes, it would eliminate ~98-99.9% of dumbasses from sporting events. |

I can't stay silent on this. The rest of the sports world has jerked each other off on being "classier than Philly fans, at least" for too long. It's hogwash, balderdash, bull poop.
Also, FAKE DRUNK SANTA deserved it, and so did that stupid trash can "robot". |

I'm not saying its fair that all fans of the flyer get lumped with the bad ones. What I'm saying is the number of bad ones is so large that it is noticeable. It doesn't help that its a large market. I'd consider you along with most flyers fans on here as fans who are not classless. But there are definitely many classless jerks that are louder than the good guys. Even if its less than 15% they are loud enough to make the flyer fan base get the reputation. - Zac_O
Alright, fair enough. Yes, we have a reputation as a city of sports fans. I just think that reputation is overblown and everything we do gets put under the microscope because of it, which only helps to reinforce the stereotype. Had this happened in Columbus, for instance, it wouldn't even be a minor story outside of Chicago. |

I don't think you'd be able to burn the Spectrum to the ground. - jmatchett383
I have a mini replica that I leave next to my toilet to catch any extra urine that may miss the bowl.
That will burn, along with my urine.

I fully endorse the destruction of that robot.
And yes, the details of the "snowballs at Santa" make it...well, yeah, he did kinda deserve it. |

I've been to a few games there, and they're just...non combative at all. They just like to sit with the other 3 Devils fans and quietly watch a game.
I actually met one working a concession stand at Carolina (wtf, right) and we just had an enjoyable hockey discussion. - jmatchett383
every jersey game ive been to has been people usually in their late 30s to early 50s. a lot of them with children or wives. and i mean 85 to 90 percent of the attendance fit that description.
if you sit around that same type of folk, and don't go out of your way to be a jerkoff, I feel pretty confident that you wouldnt hear anything worse than the occasional "boo" or "go home crysby" at a flyers game as well. |

I don't think he is hurt at all, I think they are trying to convince him that he can play top 6 somewhere else. - freeBartley
Those 11 career goals are going to set the market ablaze. Honestly no trade for D is necessary right now before Clandening gets a shot and Scuderi is in the lineup.
Dumoulin looks good.

The "crysby" thing grates of me so much. Just as much as "E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!" chants at Flyers games. |

It seems that the Penguins didn't even go after Mike Babcock because they thought they already had a new coach. It would have been bad press. If they wait until Cload is fired and hire him after that I think I'll throw up. - Johnny Wrath
I don't think ownership was ever going to pay what he was going to get from TOR or BUF. And I doubt they would have fired Johnston to get him. I agree that the Pens organization needs to be more ruthlessly efficient to be successful. Self-inflicted stupidity like refusing to buy out Scuderi and then keeping him in the lineup when he clearly isn't an NHL player anymore is unforgivable. |

I could easily see Beau being a part of a deal, with Duper and Fehr we will have some extra forwards.
We need a top 4, no way around that; I wonder if Despres is available..... F |

Yeah I'm not buying it. Beau Bennett won't bring back d help or the first rounder necessary to acquire d help. I like Beau a lot and I think if he stays healthy he can really be a nice middle six offensive force but there's not much of a market for his injury history and 11 career goals. Bennett is out for one game and is back in action. That's my prediction. |

i didnt say these people were original or clever.
i just mean that i wouldnt be expecting them to tell me that my mother is a cum guzzling whore because of the jersey im wearing in front of their children.
philadelphia is a city that has a lot of stupid people in it, and they like to pander to the lowest common mental denominator.
even good natured people still stroke off to the bullies mentality, just because for some reason it resonates to some YEAH MAN WE SURE DONE HIT HIM GOOD blue collar thing. but that doesnt necessarily equate with being any more classless than other people. |

and i understand, my comment wasnt directed at the kane case. it was to point out that a lot of rapes happen but the person isnt charged because there isnt enough evidence. he isnt innocent, just not guilty. sorry if i didnt make that point clear.

"Alright so, check this out, gents. We wait for the entire police force to inexplicably leave the entire city to itself to go into the sewers. Then, we detonate a bunch of bombs during a football game, hoping that said entire police force will be located directly under the stadium at the opening kickoff. Does this mask make my voice sound weird? I just hope that Batman can't recover from a broken back and escape from a pit in some remote place and travel to Gotham City with no money in less than 30 days."" |
