Tickets being cheap on Stubhub, I decided to take two of my younger brothers to the game. I actually am not worried about this team. They had chances, but didn't bury them. It's part of the territory of a team that's both very young and lacks continuity. They're going to score goals eventually. Defense and goaltending is going to be an issue, even whenever Lehner is healthy again, but that doesn't bother me too much because we knew it was going to happen.

As for the goal song, it's going to annoy a lot of opposing fans on nights the Sabres put up 4 or 5 goals. And yes, it will happen this year.

I think sending him to Roch this week is the right move. He'll be back on the team when there are injuries but he needs 20 mins/game and there is no way he's ready for that in the NHL.

On the flip side the amerks are 2-0!
Ullmark was incredible and Nevins scored off a sick MFE feed.

Other than ROR this is exactly what i pictured..Especially with Bogo out you see a D corps that is way over their heads. Bedsides Risto and Pysyk our in zone coverage is what we all thought

ROR is hasn't done anything noticeable and prolly doesn't deserve the heat yet...but thats what happens when you sign a big deal. Ask Kessel or Phaneuf..

Other than Kane it's tough to judge the forwards, Sam included. For a team that's never played together you think switching the lines every shift would only make it worse.

Side note..I watched yesterday and Ullmark may be something...Miller was the last goalie ive seen here that had that presence in the net. Hope he keeps it up

I still put them in that blob of five teams in the east (philly, toronto, Carolina, New Jersey, and us) that have something going for them but one too many holes on the team to be a playoff contender. None of them really look like a traditional last place team but one of them has to be last in the conference.
