I hate that people are saying this. Yes, the trade would look bad if he was actually playing poorly. But how exactly is the trade bad when the guy gets injured? You can't account for that. Who's to say that Talbot or Lack end up here and have the same type of luck?

The biggest knock on Lehner was he could not stay healthy. Yes you cant account for injuries, but yo can use it as a bargaining tool. I hated the trade when it happened. You just dont give up first round picks for goalies, who if you dont have Price or Lundqvist are mostly interchangeable.

Now he is going to be out for a very long time. Neither of those teams gave up a first for a goalie either.

Agree. Flames are carrying three on roster, but if Sabres wanted Hiller they could have signed him as FA. If long term they will make move to bring in goalie.

I really don't care for Lehner and definitely didn't like the trade. I can't imagine a single Lehner has even sold yet.

So how did Mr. Glass look before the injury?

Yeah. I thought so too. I know many around here don't know much about him still other than he was a mess last year before they shut him down after finding out he was still suffering from the concussion. The little bit I saw of him in preseason made it seem he's definitely in a much better place this year.

Did Makarov even get any game time during camp/preseason here this year? Off the top of my head, I feel like he didn't.
