Franson's name is going to be mentioned many times when someone is discussing a bad situation or goal against. Guy is not very reliable in his own zone

O'reilly is my disappointment, Kanes effort is what I'd like to see from him

If we can channel that 3rd period effort for an entire game we are gonna be a very scary team!

I know its one game so Im no too worried about it but ROR did not look good. Bad giveaway was pretty quiet in the offensive zone and slow in the zone. at least he was at 50% on the draw. Need more out of him.

Which mother (frank)er or group of MFers decided putting challenges in hockey would be a good idea???

(frank)ing (frank)(frank), that's the worst decision ever!

Can we retroactively review Hull's goddammed toe please?

Weber sucks - hate him but, the play by Risto on OTT's 2nd goal may be the worst play by a dman I've ever seen. Risto had the puck cleanly behind his own net, sloppily gave it away, lost Turik in front of his own net, dropped his stick, turned away from the play to pick up his stick and Turik scores.

So this challenge rule will end the carrying the puck into the zone =. NOw it will be dump and chase all day long. WHy carry it in if a play that has occurred in 80 percent of the time in the history of hockey you carry the puck in now gets your goal waived off

yeah i agree, was a very bad play by Risto even for a young player. Weber should never see the ice again. He makes boneheaded plays one after the other. He should go to the ECHL though I doubt they would take him.

Yea, I thought the same thing.
Webers play was bad but Risto's horrendous play behind the net cost the Sabres this game.
I understand that Weber is the whooping boy for most , at least on this board but Weber wasn't by any means the worst Sabres dman tonight.
Spirited come back anyway.

As a hawks fan, I have to agree with. Both challenge in the last few days. Good call.

Exactly - there's a reason Franson is now on his 3rd team in 83 games and got little in terms of offers as a FA. He'll provide some offense, and hit ..... a little, but he should never be on the ice late in the game when up a goal.

I look at that as a smart steal by a great forward (stone) and outside of that i thought he looked alright and made some nice plays.

Weber did virtually nothing positive all night.

Your GM voted in support of the change. In fact, he was one of the biggest proponents of the challenge rule.
